***The Official OcUK Lego Thread***

I think Wickedbrick are the main go to supplier of Lego display cases, from my little knowledge!
I’m happy to be pointed elsewhere though, I need to buy a stand for the Falcon and it’s quite pricey.

Bought and built the Jeep Wrangler over the weekend
Was an alright build, but can't believe how many special bits are around nowadays

Several evenings into the Mould King Monarch Star Destroyer (something like bag 3 of 20+) and this thing is insane, absolutely massive and a really interesting build. I know the non Lego stuff is questionable but the quality of it and the value for money makes it hard to ignore.

If lego don't produce something I want soon in going to end up brand straying badly!

The ISD in the pics above doesn't look great as all. Glad I didn't get it. That monotone grey makes the details hard to see.

I totally understand its accurate. Just really not keen.

I'm still undecided on the colosseum. Holds interest at ive been. Not worried about the boring build. It just seems a bit lacking. But can't figure it out

There are so many naff sets coming out it's hard to know if I've missed any good ones.
The shuttle was a stand out gem

Finished this last week, beast of a build! I’ve ordered the WickedBrick stand, just need to find somewhere to put it….

I’m not into Marvel but I had a quick look.

The building itself doesn’t look like a particularly interesting build (grey and repetitive), it’s all the stuff that’s stuck onto it that adds all the character.

I’m sure there are lots of references in the build which are completely lost on me.

Same, it looks like great attention to details. Same with the Friends apartment, there are loads of little easter eggs for fans of the show.

Just did a quick price check on a few of my collection: The 10221 Super Star Destroyer is going for £1.1k, and the 10030 Imperial Star Destroyer for £1.9k on ebay! I've got 2 of each BNIB, might have to start storing them some-place safer! Even the 10212 Imperial Shuttle is at £800! (Also 2x BNIB) Another 20 years and let's see how they all get on :D

Do you never build any of them, or just buy them for profit (scalp them)?

I always bought 2 of every model I wanted, 1 to build and 1 to keep. I used to build quite regularly but I also bought loads at a time so I ended up with quite a backlog, then when I got married and had kids I stopped having any time to build them. People still buy me them as gifts now (my sister always gets me 2 of each haha) and I still occasionally by them for myself as well, but they just go straight on the pile. I plan to break some out to do with my kids when they're old enough.
