**** The Official OnePlus 3 Thread ****

kona I just caught up on the thread and read your first impressions and subsequent posts on the OP3. Thanks for your impressions Mate. That's also a nice Nilkin case you bought!

What a great device and for the price! How are you getting on with the 64Gb storage? Is it enough for you? How's the OTA? Has it already improved a very good device?

Same old OPO selling stuff they don't have and leaving customers hanging whilst taking their money and not saying anything. I despair at this company I really do.

Yeah really impressed with it, especially considering it's at least £200 cheaper than what the some other OEM's are charging for SD820 based phones.

I'm using it as a work phone at the moment so 64GB is ok. Personally I want 128GB or an SD slot.

The OTA has made the screen accurate now which has made me happy as it was too saturated for me personally. The RAM management I'm still testing but it seems better so far.

All in all I really like how this phone feels in the hand and the way it looks and performs. It makes me wonder how some big OEM's can get the basics so wrong.

Interesting to know how they're deploying the ota, not hit mine yet.

Storage is subjective, I came from a 64gb One and filled about 40. But then I only stick music and apps on my phones.

4 full days and still 16% for me. If you are indoors most of the time you need little to no brightness and you will still see well. I tend to turn off a lot of the most wasteful battery features so I'm sure that helps a bit.

I'm finding it very dim indoors, also it's not very consistent and changes randomly under the same lighting, it's annoying actually.

Hmm, I guess that may force my hand. Getting a little fed up of the apparently awful reception I'm getting on my s6 edge so was considering this as a change/upgrade. Would this be considered a much better phone than the s6?

I'm terms of performance it would be a minor upgrade. But you'll get a bigger screen and nicer design and stockish android.

Edit - and better battery life.

Got the device setup the way I like it now, I had to change the dpi though as everything was just too big.

So nice being able to root and not have to worry about warranty!

Depends, for games this should manage everything much better but again it depends on the games you're playing, for everything else I doubt you would notice any difference.

Would I consider it a much better phone? I would.

However I'm not sure how the camera's compare, the camera on the Galaxy S6 is still very good. The display on the Galaxy S6 is better, brighter and sharper of course but 1440p is pretty pointless on a 5" display unless you use Gear VR a lot.

Obviously no wireless charging either, fingerprint scanner is much better on the OnePlus 3, as is the battery life. :p

what is wrong/questionable about warranty of the one plus 3? I am thinking of maybe getting the OP 3, not sure if I can wait till sept for the new nexus phones to appear.

Well having tried to buy one last night it seems they don't want me to have one, getting some weird not authorised to view this page error when trying to pay. If the receptions not great maybe I should look elsewhere or just stick with what I have for the time being. Nexus 6P is way too big for me.
