**** The Official OnePlus 3 Thread ****

O2 never had any stock for sale but had a demo unit in and was far more impressed with it than I thought I would be .

Wait till the pixel is announced then big decision time :p

Hi guys,

Looking at an upgrade on the Z3 and tempted by the OnePlus3.

Main usages of my phone really are calls, texts, camera, browsing and email. Looking at a few other options like the XZ but the OP3 seems to be the best price what do you guys think?

OP3 wins for me due to much nicer design, OLED + bigger screen, stock android, much cheaper, double the RAM.

Just need to decide now, managed to crack the screen on the Z3 which is forcing the upgrade as the top half wont work :(

Now my current contract runs out in Feb but I can pay £104 for early upgrade to pay off the contract but then they want £32 per month with a 1GB Data tariff. Now im thinking of just buying the phone outright for £336 and then dropping to a ~£15 per month sim only tariff for the same allowance in Feb when renewal is due. Quite close on price wise over 2 years, slightly less on the outright purchase but its a bit outlay to have one one go :(

I've just upgraded from the Z3 to the OP3. Main reason for me was dual sim meaning I could have my personal and work sims in the same phone.

My phone arrived on Friday, however I have an issue with receiving no data. I have checked my APN settings and searched the internet for what they should be but I still have no data. I'm on Three and my settings are below:

MNC - 20
Authentication type - Not Set

Could someone on Three with working data check their settings against mine and let me know if there are any differences?

Thanks

Thanks for your advice guys, upgraded in store today and first impressions are good, really nice phone.

Has anyone got one of the cases direct from oneplus? Im looking at the case and tempered glass bundle for £27...

https://oneplus.net/oneplus-3-essentials-bundle

Karbon case I think, are they any good and provide good all round protection?

I got the basic back (earphones, case and old screen protector) and I prefer the cheap silicone case I got from ebay. I got the sandstone case, and although it is nice, it doesn't offer much protection (top and bottom are open) plus I believe the Karbon case isn't even thick enough to cover the camera bump (although they MIGHT have changes this, I'm not sure). Plus they're not too strong either. My friend has a OPX with the Karbon/Sandtone case, and the first time he dropped it in the corner the case broke and his phone took a small hit. The screen protector is normal, nothing different than a cheapo off ebay imo (although you might want the larger version that covers the sides)
