**** The Official OnePlus 3 Thread ****

I absolutely love this phone and feel even more vindicated after watching some of the pixel vs op3 videos.

ordered the pixel before actually seeing one (huge nexus fan) then had a play with both pixel and oneplus 3 over the weekend. Cancelled the pixel and bought the oneplus the same day. The pixel is not £400 better than the oneplus....to be honest, I made a pros and cons list and the oneplus came out better irrespective of price.

I've just ordered a giffgaff sim to test out dual sim use.

How does it work exactly, does one take precedence? I really just want to be able to use it when I don't get signal on my main sim, but for all other occasions my main sim should be in use.

Whilst I haven't tried it, there is a SIM manager in settings in which you set your preferred sim card, I assume if the signal were to drop on one it would then automatically switch to the 2nd SIM but then revert once signal returns.

Dual sim wasn't something I was interested in, but should have been!!!!

Basically the sim tray is marked sim1 and sim2. Your primary sim goes in sim1. It works everything off that until you decide to switch. Switching is easy, when texting for example you can select which sims you want to send it with.

The reason I like it, is that I'm a vodafone user as I get free spotify. My oneplus came from o2, so I got a £10 payg sim in the bag. I was ready to chuck it in the bin until I realised that with the o2 sim in tray2 I can use o2 priorities and get the monday boots meal deals for £1 :-)

I use dual SIMs.

You can set a SIM preference for Mobile Data, Calls & Texts.
I have my personal SIM and work SIM installed.

So for me I have Data on my main SIM - Three (unlimited).
Calls and Texts on my work SIM - O2. I use whatsapp for personal stuff.

Yes it is setup that your 2nd preference SIM will only be used when the 1st preference doesn't have signal.

Ace for me as I loathed carrying two phones.

Battery life for me has gone downhill for after every update, when I received the phone I was getting around 5-6 hours.

Since the sRBG mode and memory "fix" were applied that's dropped to 3-4 hours, same ballpark as my old Galaxy S6 now.

Great phone but I want my 6 hour screen on time back. :(

Wow. You seem like a heavy user!

I normally get from morning until bedtime on one charge. The radio is on for most of the working day and often a few YouTube videos and the odd phonecall.

I normally get around 6 days idle and 3-4 hours on screen time.

Seriously, the thing I like most if the battery life. I hear people lose >10% when they sleep. I lose like 2%.

Just fitted an Orzly clear case and think it's great, much better than the spigen ultra clear. I did think at first it was a little on the thick side, but once fitted it's perfect.

Really liking this phone. The first thing I did was unlock, root and install Xposed.
Its a pity that not all of GravityBox mods work such as the status bar tiles and stuff but majority of it does.

A few questions:

Software:
- Is there a way to add more tiles to the quick settings?
- Anyway to increase vibration strength?
- Any good Xposed mods?

Hardware:
- Can anyone recommend some dash charge USB cables I can use with PC at work?
- Can anyone recommend a dash charger that is cheaper than the original as a spare?
- A good case ?
- Screen protector worth it?!

Cheers

I was considering purchasing one for the Mrs to replace the S5 she has.

Popped into o2 as she needs a phone that's not too big for her smallish hands.

Since it had a mammoth alarm on its, I asked the staff member could we have it removed for a second to feel the real weight and to see how she got on with it for single hand use.

Bloody useless is all I can say. He stated he would have to charge a card for the phone and then refund it if he was to do that. Offered to leave a wallet full of cards, a 6P and her S5 on the office table as insurance we weren't going to make a run for it with the phone, but no movement. Terrible customer service. Will now try another o2 store to see if they have a bit of common sense before making an easy sale.
