**** The Official OnePlus 3 Thread ****

Updated being pushed out for OP3, but don't get excited, NOT Nougat.

I've downloaded by installing Opera VPN and setting my region for Canada.

Details of what's actually in the update here;

https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/oxygenos-3-2-8-mm-ota-for-oneplus-3.475493/

Here are some highlights:
Added 1080P 60FPS video recording
Added emergency calling for India (Triple press of power button to trigger)
Optimization of Snapchat, fixed video calling and scrolling lags
Increased system stability
General bug fixes

GPS fixes announced in OxygenOS 3.5 for the OP3T, hopefully the same for OP3...

Before you reply with MY GPS IS FINE!!!"£!!! I'm not talking about google maps or other navigation apps, I'm talking GPS inaccuracies in apps such as Google Fit and Strava, which has been acknowledged by Oneplus:)

Quick question

What courier does OnePlus use when they ship to the UK?

When I ordered my OnePlus X directly from them back in April it was delivered by DHL, pretty sure it's still the same case at the moment.

To those who are still looking to get the older 3, keep an eye out on eBay for brand new & sealed examples - some private sellers want ridiculous money for them (£425 Buy It Now... No thanks) but you may be lucky and spot some listings where they have a £375 Buy It Now price or best offer.

I took a chance with a new & sealed example myself a couple of days ago that was £375 Buy It Now with best offer and started at £300 as an offer, the seller refused as expected but eventually agreed on £340 posted (which was my limit anyway). It arrived yesterday and besides it coming with a brand new official Apricot case, he also threw in 3 x tempered glass screen protectors in too.

Then to top it off... I also sold my OnePlus X on there yesterday as well for £210 Buy It Now - the price of OnePlus phones in general at the moment are on the rise.

Liam.

@Gigabit and LEK-89 Cheers fellas.

Liam that's interesting you sold your OPX for £210 buy it now. What condition was it in when you sold it and did you sell it with any extras?

The reason I'm asking is that I'm thinking of putting my OPX for sale to fund my OP3T purchase as I've already sold my Motorola Z Play.

Mine was near enough immaculate, with plenty of photos on the listing to back it up - and no extras with the phone either apart from it coming with the original box & all accessories.

Put the listing live on Thursday evening & sold it by 9AM yesterday morning.

Liam.

Well, I am terribly sorry, images auto resized for me :o

One thing I've noticed since moving back to my n5 is how much I love the OP3, really put it in to perspective.

Thanks Liam,

I cant believe that a year on these things are holding their value!

Then again out of all the Android devices Samsung and OnePlus are the only OEMs that seem to do well in resale value

Think I'll pick up a 3T, just to go along with my S7 and Pixel :p

Dude you're worse than me! Collecting 2016 flagships like their going out of fashion! :D;)

Tried cm 14.1 over weekend when the urge to mess got too strong

But really need to be able to use bank app so switched back to stock and relocked bootloader

What a chore it was lol. Because of the cm ROM more than anything else

Hope N comes soon !

I tried cm14.1, reverted back and bricked my phone. Took a couple of scary hours to get back to stock!

OnePlus did say a community build (i.e. beta) of Nougat by the end of November, hope they stick to that promise.

So the Nougat beta was released as promised.

Flashed on my phone, running well with no issues yet, fingers crossed.

Really like the built in feature in Nougat to be able to change the screen size.

The storage is not actually physically quicker on the 3T vs the 3, it's just that the file system had changed from EXT4 to F2FS. This will be coming to the 3 too!

https://www.xda-developers.com/clea...-and-op3t-storage-speed-differences-and-f2fs/

Running the tests on the 64GB OnePlus 3 with an F2FS file system gave us about the same results as the 128GB OnePlus 3T on both the default AndroBench settings and the more-accurate ones. Furthermore, we found app opening speeds to be similar as well. And the most telling clue comes from that Asphalt 8 loading speed test, as while the original test had the OnePlus 3 trailing several seconds behind, we see that it now keeps up and loads at around the same time.

So what does this all mean? The improvements in real-world performance of the OnePlus 3T came largely due to F2FS, which will most certainly arrive to the OnePlus 3 officially with Nougat (beta available today!). OnePlus users are not strangers to F2FS, in fact this was a common mod for the OnePlus One for the same reasons.
