**** The Official OnePlus 5 Thread ****

That said I've taken some half decent shots with the stock camera app admittedly decent lighting

I had a quick go with portrait mode didn't even set it up with the specific levels but thought this image looked nice

Edit: upload doesn't do the quality justice it's downgraded image quality.

link above is the photo looks a lot better there, and with stock app no tweaking settings.

Same, I just checked and they were awaiting my response.
Cheers for the help.
edit * Would have been helpful if there was a notification of that ticket so people know to respond.

That odd, I didn't have to do that, I just got 3 emails in my inbox, 2 from UPS (the label and receipt) and one from OP support telling me how to package it.

I had this in support tickets. Didn't know it was there. I was surprised also after reading your reply in here.
Thank you for contacting OnePlus. My name is Robin, a Return, Replacement & Repair Specialist, and I'll be glad to assist you with your concern today.

We have received your return request for the following item/s:

1 - OnePlus 5T Midnight Black 8GB RAM + 128GB Storage (UK)
1 - OnePlus 5T 3D Tempered Glass Screen Protector

We understand that this RMA was created due to the camera quality of the phone. Rest assured, we will be assisting you in this matter.

The good news is that the product is still within the 15-calendar-day return period. To qualify for a refund, the accessory to be returned must be in 'like new' condition and, if possible, with the original, sealed packaging intact and the device to be returned must be in 'like new' condition.

To move forward with the request, we humbly request for clear photographs of the accessories and device in the state you received it from all sides of the original packaging in your next response.

I have sent 15 photo's. See what they say.

I love the phone but don't fall for buying the tempered glass screen protector, it's is the biggest piece of crap you've ever come across

It's good quality compared to the other ones i bought after it but fitting it bubble free was a pita which led to me taking it off after a few days.

Yeah mine was picked up on Friday, already had my refund processed. Props to OP for that, their CS is far better than it once was.

Mine was picked up by ups yesterday and according to tracking its been delivered this morning.
If they do fix the camera software I would buy the phone again. Time will tell.

I've really been swayed towards upgrading to the 5T from the OnePlus 3 and it's a real shame about the apparent camera issues others have discovered :(

The camera itself for me isn't the deal breaker, but the fact that OnePlus themselves keep releasing new flagships practically every six months at the moment... I can just see it now, come March / April of next year they will unveil another new model. I'm yet to try out a 5T but has anyone else on here upgraded to one from the 3?

Liam.
