If you have a 360 and a PS3 and don't know what to get it on, I think it's a no brainer. If you buy it for the PS3 you should be able to update the option file by simply using a memory stick to transfer the file, the DualShock is probably better for PES as well, not to mention free online.

The community for PES is great for patching so even if the Premiership teams aren't licensed you can update my game at no extra cost.

To be honest, give me with the current 360 version with no slowdown, save replay option, edit mode, better master league, faster gameplay, improved shooting and heading and I'll be happy

I have both but i'm in a dilemma.

Most of my mates have a 360. Playing online, i'd want it on 360. If the ps3 version does turn out better i'll be stumped.

I'll get it on 360 for the fact that i know many people who play it on 360 but not a single person with a ps3.

Konami are treading on very thin ice with 360 owners at the moment... they better not screw us over again for the PS camp because if that happens they can shove PES up their ****. I cannot describe how mad I was to find how pathetic PES6 was on 360 compared to PS2... they took out everything... editing, ML was crap, just very poor all round.

I swear to god they better sort it out this time or EA are gonna be counting my money instead...

I agree, im not pre-ordering this, im going to wait until i've heard user opinion on whether they've got off there lazy fat asses and actually made a proper game this time round.

I expect this "PS3 version is better than 360" stuff is just BS from someone who wants to cause a fuss. Best bet is to wait and find out for ourselves. I expect they will be practically the same.

I will be getting it for the 360................as I don't have a PS3

plus I like achievements

Are you talking about the EA that do the exact same thing with there first couple of versions on next gen systems?

yeh wedgie, fifa 07 was "watered down" on 360 compared to xbox/ps2 versions.

Personally as long as the PS3 version isn't any worse, I'll buy it because of the dual shock, the easy way of updating and the free online as I don't think I'll buy another year of live when mine runs out.

So you will buy a worse game just so Konami don't get your £25? I'm sure they will be hurting.

I believe X-Sata you can get use to get Save Files although not sure how it will work.

Videos are good and there definitely some changes but overall its not a big step up from PES 6 which is abit disappointing imo.

well i paid 35 quid for pro evo 6 and I feel cheated and robbed tbh.... the 360 version was a total rip off so they better not **** me over again!

Look as though Pro Evo is coming to the Wii too, according to IGN. Not sure if it'll be PES7 or 8 though.

Seek reviews or wait for a demo untill you part with your £35 in the future.

Despite the features missing it was still the best £35 I've paid out for the past year, I've said it before, will say it again, every PES game keeps me occupied until the next installment comes out, no other game does that!

Maybe it was so poor on the 360 because they had it ready for the xbox instead and Microsoft canned it/disallowed it/gave them a big wad of cash to make it 360 only :rolleyes:

With it appearing on PS2 and the new one coming out on it as well their was not a good enough reason for it not to be brought out for the original xbox imho as the prequels played excellant on it

oh great, and i thought the days of weaker consoles holding the graphics back were over with GTA finally being updated. Looks like we'll have to put up with bog standard graphics in pro evo for another couple of iterations atleast then. I dont see why they dont do two versions like Activision did with THP8. Give Konami the proper version for the 360 and PS3 and then either ship out or let another team do the cut down PS2/Wii version.

Yep I'm the same, checked my 360 blog and its my most played game over the year. I played through about 50 seasons on master league and god knows how many player live matches.

I'd honestly pay double for those kinds of hours enjoyment and frustration

The only version I've played less than 6 is 5.

Having said that, I'll be buying Pro Evo 2008 the day it comes out. The only decision for me is 360 or PS3 and right now I'm leaning towards the PS3 version, the pad alone is enough to outweigh achievements/Live play.

I've played it on 144 days since buying, god knows how many hours!

I'll get the PS3 version I'd imagine, I prefer the controller for football games, the "top" buttons are easy to use and I like how light the PS3 controller is. If I'm unhappy I'll trade it in for the 360 equivalent.

I guess a lot of the controls will be from Wiimote waggling rather than button pressing - this is one game I can't imagine will translate well to the Wii controllers.
