So you're saying the leap from 16 bit consoles to things like the PS1 was a smaller step than 720p > 1080p and a few bells and whistles?

I thought the same. Nothing wil beat the transition from bitmap to polys.

Amiga/Megadrive/SNES > PS1/N64/Dreamcast. That was the moment. Everything else since is just slight increments.

Finally bit the bullet and ordered myself a PS4 wiv Knack, to go with my Vita. Getting delivered on Christmas Eve .

I may get a 2DS and a Wii U to replace my Wii and for Mario and Zelda (when the Wii U gets another price drop).
