*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

I have mine on pre-order with Amazon. Saw this and was tempted but hadn't heard of gamestop before. Looking on Trustpilot, they have over 60% 1 star ratings

Fair enough mate. All I know is that my PS4 arrived with no issues from them, I could have just been one of the lucky ones. Though I am a bit concerned that it didn't come wrapped in plastic, isn't it normally supposed to? Chance of it being used are zilch since it was a pre-order of a newer model (at the time) and I got it on release day.

The $400 price tag for PSVR had me feeling iffy (for a console VR device), but seeing the £350 UK price tag felt like a bit of a relief. It should be roughly £340 with VAT and conversion, but the tenner extra Amazon are selling it for isn't much of an issue. A shame that the conversion rate has gone down the sink, I feel like my pennies are getting worthless by the day.

That spongy stuff that feels like it heats up your skin?

Couldn't you just throttle Sony? I bought a few games in the Easter sale and now they sling me an email saying "Buy some more for an extra 10% off!" Grrr. Should have waited!

It's pretty good so far, I'm doing better than expected. The commentary I'm finding really great. Graphics, physics etc. Weather and course state etc is nice to have. Might have a fiddle and make it really tough lol.

I bought a PS4 in Jan and am looking to buy a second one, as I work away from home and currently have my PS4 where i rent for work.

I'd like to get a second PS4 for at home, but want to be able to play the same games at home and away, so how can I can transfer save games between consoles so they are always the same? Also would just one copy of the same game be able to be installed on both consoles ok or would I need to buy 2 copies? I guess I'd have to at least take the game dics with me between the 2 consoles?

Thanks.

You can either copy your save games manually on to a USB pen drive and transfer them that way or subscribe to PS+ and use the cloud saving feature.

You can use one copy of the game on different consoles, you just can't play on both at the same time.

I've spent weeks, nay months trying to get the 15x multiplier trophy in Resogun. Then out of curiosity, I clicked on the weekly challenge thing to see what it was. I got a 20x multiplier in 10 seconds.

Great games. Challenging enough to keep you interested yet strangely relaxing.

I'm a golf game addict. I have played them since the days of Links golf on PC, right up through all the other games, including Tiger and John Daly. I have been playing The Golf Club for the last year or so on PS4 and PC.

EA Rory is a fun game. The character creation has taken a step backwards and is less detailed than that in The Sims 4, even though the end result looks like a sim. The courses look very nice, with some wildlife added in places which feels like a nod towards TGC. There are only 10 Real courses with the game and two fantasy efforts that some may enjoy. I got the extra Scottsdale course with my pre-order, but it still needs more courses.

The gameplay is good. There are difficulty settings that will take you from Amateur 3-click casual play all the way to full Tour Pro with a thumbstick swing. On higher difficulty levels the game is actually challenging again. The PGA Season play can be played as before with 4x18 hole rounds over 4 days, or you can turn on the Quick Play option where you only play 5 or so holes each day and the game extrapolates your final results. This makes it more interesting for me, as playing the same course 4 times in a row was a bit boring sometimes.

It needs more content, but it's a good game and I've played it a lot over the last 10 days or so. I feel I will get my money's worth out of it quite easily.
