*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

Say what!

TLoU is noticeably sluggish at pretty much all times on the PS3. At 60fps on PS4 it'll be transformed.

Not to mention the cinematic quality character models and anti-antialiasing. Extremely tempted to double dip.

Agreed. TLoU was very impressive, but the frame rate drops and jagged edges were a little jarring, especially if you're used to gaming on a PC. It still looked stunning at times - on the PS4 I suspect stunning at all times. I would have paid this price just for the single player dlc btw - my ps3 died just before it was released and I nearly bought a new console just to play it!

Around £40 for a game of this quality is a no brainer.

lolwut?

people have paid £55 for some crappy PS4 games so to get one of the best games ever made for £45 seems worth it IMO if you like those type of games.

maybe not worth it if you have already played the game but then that has nothing to do whether or not it's worth the cash to someone who has never played it before tbh.

lets say the PS3 version didn't exist and it was a new game (which it will be to a lot of people) do you think it's worth £45 baring in mind it will actually be better than the PS3 version?

why can't people understand not everyone has played remastered PS3 to PS4 games before?

a lot of people bought fifa 14 on PS3, to only buy it again on PS4 a couple of months later, nobody complained back then.

the game won like a million game of they year awards last year and topped every chart, etc. If you haven't played it before then it's no doubt worth the money, especially to all the morons complaining there is nothing to play on PS4 that is decent.

But I'm saying it's not worth it if you have already completed it on ps3

I still haven't played the DLC, so rather than pay £15 I'll sell my PS3 copy for around £20 and upgrade to the PS4 version which includes the DLC.

Stick with PS3 = £15 to play DLC
Upgrade to PS4 = £25 to play DLC

For a better experience I'll happily put up £10 for another run through, which I was going to do anyway. You could then just bay of E the PS4 version for probably £40 when you're done.

I never played it on PS3 either as I thougght it looked a bit boring - gameplay just looked a bit stale.

Still, with the remastered version, now is as good a time as any to try it out and see if my impressions were wrong.

Recently rented and played through Bound by Flame. Was a decent action RPG but the low budget highlighted plenty issues with the character models/animations and voice acting. The world was alos very confined and it was quite short. 11 hours to do almost all side quests aand finish the game.

Still, considering it was a low budget game and if you take that into account - it was mostly fun for that 11 hours. Combat is decent when the camera doesn't prevent you from seeingg the enemies attack!

Really can't wait for a true next-gen, co-op multiplayer game. That's pretty much all I care about with gaming these days. I have trouble enjoying any single player game - there are too many great tv series and movies to watch so when I'm by myself those are almost always my preference

TLoU was one of my favourite PS3 games and I will certainly be getting it on the PS4 just like Tomb Raider which I re-purchased for the PS4.

I haven't played it for a while and luckily I have a really bad memory so it will be like playing a new game :)

Get it done! And stick with it - the first few hours are pretty much a tutorial and setting mood/story. I thought it was very pretty but wasn't totally absorbed. Then the game opens right up and from then on I was as addicted as I've been with any game since the nes!

meh i would spend more than £40 on 1 night out with mates so i arent fussed about £40 for a PS4 game thats hours worth of fun

I doubt you'll even need to wait that long, Tomb Raider can already be had for under £25 new and it's only been out three and a half months.

I reckon the sale they had on the PSN store has a lot to do with that.

It was £22.50 iirc on the store which when you consider you can usually buy £25 worth of credit for around £20 means it really cost £19 ish.

I'm pretty sure a lot of people bought the digital version and then sold their disc on flooding the market, or it meant nobody was buying the disc version due to the sale so they had to decrease prices which in turn effected it's second hand prices.

I'll personally just wait for most games to go on sale on PSN because I have someone I share PSN games with, so we usually chip in for them, so Tomb Raider only cost me £10 on the PS4.

People are complaining about money for old rope, but it's not old rope if you have never played them (which I haven't) and they are better than the PS3 versions and if you share games like I do and wait for sales as well as buy cheap credit, then IMO the games are actually very cheap and well worth the money.

Killzone - 85p
Tomb Raider - £10

Not exactly breaking the bank buying these PS4 games at the right time using my methods.

Good to hear - I usually get bored if i'm not gripped quickly and just move onto something else instead. There is no shortage of media and entertainment to discover so things don't have long to impress me.

But for all the praise this gets, I'd have to see it to the end to give it a chance. Not like some crappy low budget games (some are good) where you just know it'll be a complete waste of your time to play it to the end.

It's not a game i'm looking forward to specifically - but one I hope will surprise me

Thats a dark art mate, back in medieval times youd have been labelled a witch for such knowledge...

ps3ud0

Assassin's Creed® Freedom Cry

is £7.64 on PSN for PS4 atm is it worth a go at that price? If my PSN buddy is interested then I'll let him have it for £4 so will cost me just under £4.

How come watch dogs is on the store for PS3 but not PS4? I want to know the PS4 price so I can see if he wants to chip in for that as well.
