*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

Is anyone else excited for the Playstation TV? It looks ideal for me.

I play my PS4 through the good TV in my bedroom but when the mrs goes to bed it needs to go off, now I can just wander downstairs if I want to carry on playing.
 
I recently bought a couple of HDMI -> CAT 6 -> HDMI converter for like £12.50 each (down from £75 each). I plan on installing one at a site for their CCTV to be fed from a secure room onto the shop floor onto a large screen.

The other I am going to keep in case I ever need to feed HDMI into another room.

What distance does the DS4 work from and does it need line of sight? Will it work through walls? I could theoretically use it for my ps4 in another room without completely dismantling the setup.

no need to drop yet as they are still selling really well, were as the xbox one has struggled since day one in most places and that had a price drop sooner than most people thought

Just found the infamous second son edition ps4 for £329, so might grab that :)

Various retailers have been doing deals/discounts that have brought it down to £320-330, if not lower. An official price drop obviously isn't going to happen though.
 
one retailer was selling for £300 - obviously sold out now.

i don't think there will be an official drop until 2015 unless MS drop their price again then they may do something to counteract it.

at christmas they never drop the price but usually do big bundles which means you get the console plus a few games for slightly less than normal. only works if your interested in those games though.

although i think your mad to wait all this time to save £20 (the price it is now at a certain place), you have missed out on 8 months of enjoyment for the sake of £20? really?

if you want the console buy it. if you want the console for considerably cheaper than launch then we shall see you in 2017.

No i havent waited etc
Just got slightly fed up with pc gaming... Its not for me
So i am listing all my components this week and will be getting a ps4
Purely because it meets my needs better than a pc does
So only been looking for like the past 48 hours at ps4's

Think ill just get that watchdogs edition for £329
Dont think ill beat that and then sell watchdogs
Should get £30 for it so then i will got the ps4 for £300
Happy with that :)

yea Watchdogs has been going for £32-35 on MM lately but that will drop over next few weeks
