I thought that games acquired through PS+ remained available after your subscription ends, you don't have to resubscribe to be able to use them.

Is it possible to put a PS+ subscription on hold for a couple of months? I have a 12 month subscription but haven't used it since May and can't see myself using it again before xmas.
 
You're wrong, you need an active sub to be able to carry on playing them, it ends and you can no longer access your games that you got until you renew.

Does that only apply to the Instant games collection? If you bought a game with a PS+ discount I assume they allow you to continue playing that without a subscription.
 
My PS4 is connected to my home network wirelessly. Is it possible to pass the network connection through my PS4 from the LAN port on the PS4 to the LAN port on my TV to connect my TV to the internet?

Nope - but you can buy a piddly 5-port switch which will do the job your after.
 
Gutted - kids just broke my PS4 :( :(
They've managed to break the loading mechanism somehow. Will get it reported tomorrow. Whats the turn around time from sony please anyone?

Also - I had my own SSHD in there - if I take that out and just plonk it into a new PS4 system will it work? - or will I have to format it and re-download all software etc?
 
Son bought his PS4 bundle from Game 4 months ago and the controller is giving issues with the L2/R2 buttons. Do they give a straight exchange or send it for replacement?
 
After all your help in helping me decide about the camera, I've decided to invest the money in some official headphones.

Bit cheaper online, but they're only £65 from argos, and I can buy them today! Looking forward to a few hours on Alien Isolation tonight now, once everyone else has gone to bed :)

The new console will format the drive and you will have to redownload everything. If you have an external HDD you could backup to that firstly and then restore.

anyone give an inclination of how long sony take to replace/repair a broken console? - Do they just send out a replacement to swap with the existing one or will I have to send mine off first and wait weeks?
 
Will have to put something boring on the TV tonight to get my wife off to bed and out of the way early tonight so I can try out my new headphones :)

Im sure you will find something she will find boring. - Dave has a good selection of several thousand topgears she had probably seen before.

Side note :D Let us know how the headphones are :D i have a nice set of earphones but want one with a mic so the official ones seem like they would get the job done.
 
Jeez the messaging is so painfully slow :( chatting with Dredd early on before we jumped in to Destiny and its shockingly poor. Really hope the 2.0 update fixes it

Just been reading up on this trying to find a anwser. As best as i can see a few people who have sent out consoles have had times ranging from 3 days to 3 weeks

I think it depends on the problem itself and if it was something damaged by you or if it was just a problem with the console - if it was the consoles fault i think they will feel inclined to replace it faster.

Im not sure however best way to find out is just talk to sony :D
