Apparently record shipments but eBay prices are stuck at £600-£700+.

In total i've managed to get 5. But they where all for friends and family, one being for myself. Apprently I get employed to get one for people, get asked by people in work too, sometimes they throw a bottle of whiskey in for my trouble

Managed one for a friend that’s been struggling to find one. I got in really quick though and used wish list/ add to basket method. Due 30th.
I've turned the alerts off now. The whole thing is just way more stress than I can deal with. To compete to buy in a 5-second window is too much pressure.
Maybe I'll pick up a slim version next year. I really don't care anymore. I probably don't want it enough, and I'm too old for stupid games (as in the game of following alerts, not the game games)

Does it have to be a PS5 and not a Series X? The latter are popping up in stock all over the place and shouldn't be that hard to buy. Certainly an XBox now is better than a PS5 next year unless there are PS5 exclusives you absolutely must have.
Yeah the XBox is for sure a nice piece of kit, but I think the PS5 is better if you already have a PC. MS will release all its XBox games for PC anyhow.
From your posts in the GPU forum, I thought you'd given up on PC gaming for the time being. Or at least given up on finding a decent graphics card.

I want one but nowhere near badly enough to buy it from eBay or stay glued to stock alerts. I'll get one when I can stroll down to Argos on a quiet Sunday afternoon and pick one up without reservation. I have tons of stuff to play on PC/XBox whilst I wait. Plus it gives time for all the digital games to go down in price.
It does look incredible graphically but I personally can't think of anything worse to spend my free time on! Each to their own.

Yes it is because the PS4 version is the same as the ps5 version,aka you get a free ps5 upgrade with the PS4 version
