Yep! Unfortunately they're only included with the consoles, the standalone controllers don't get them which is a shame.
Yeah, was hoping to be surprised when I opened my controller just now but forgot that the USB PS1 style cables are only with the console. Still, lovely looking controller!

My 30th anniversary controller has arrived from Currys.
It looks like somebody has played football with it. They only put it in a cheap post bag, no box or anything. It's a good thing I wasn't planning to keep it to sell at a later date because the box is in tatters.

That's unfortunate. I had one from Argos and one from EE and both were in boxes. They arrived via Royalmail and Parcelforce respectively and arrived as close to untouched as you can get.

I won't be buying from Currys again

I thought the edge controller looked really good and then I looked into it and realised it still uses those bloody sticks that can get stick drift on a controller that expensive, which is ridiculous.
I did see there are replacements available but they seem to be scarce and also being sold for twice or more than they should be.

Not to be deterred I then researched if there were any aftermarket hall effect ones for it and it seems gulikit paused development But are looking into it again.

I just cannot fathom a 200 quid controller that can end up with stick drift and then you can't get a bloody replacement for it.

Then again I feel the dualsense is very good as is and mine hasn't suffered any issues yet, although it's also not particularly had a lot of use.

Damn. I think that's worth having a grumble to their CS and see if they might send you some store credit at least. I know Argos have done in the past, especially for overselling 30th Anniversary consoles, so maybe Currys might.

Yea, they offered me £15 store credit and acted like they were doing me a favour

That's frustrating. I would say that the packaging the dual sense 30th anniversary comes in feels very cheap and flimsy. I guess it's designed to be sustainable/recyclable/etc which is probably why but I'd hope it would be higher quality as I love the artwork so would be something nice to display!

Updates dropped for me today for Dragon Age, Rift Apart, F1’24 and GT7. Interesting. Dragon Age (the only thing I’ve tested) they’ve definitely added something. In performance mode the game looks much smoother and softer and the colours really pop, especially off lighting on golden objects and buildings. I’ve already clocked 50 hours with it in the Pro so I can definitely see a difference today. It’ll be fascinating to see how PSSR develops over time but it looks to me that they’ve started understanding it more here.
