I just don’t get why an offline single player game purchased on a users home console has to keep checking for a game license. What kind of BS is this.

Not playing anything on my PS5 Pro at the moment, but just as well given this service outage. Does bring home just how vulnerable our digital libraries are .... thank god for proper physical media eg. Switch cartridges.

Even most physical games have so kind of online element though. E.g I couldn't play my physical GT7

They do and it’s the one practice I hate as no need for it imo

GT7 should have an offline mode it’s baffling it doesn’t especially now as there is no reason you couldn’t do a race offline

Tried any older titles? My PS5 upgrade to my PS4 disc of AC Valhalla played no problems today except anything like missions that needed to hit the servers up.

Wasn't expecting everything on fire. I downloaded the Monster Hunter beta just fine last night then it errored out when I loaded it up. I just thought I'd try again later but apparently not!

In fairness I didn't but out of the 4 games I'm currently playing 2 are online only (Fortnite/Predecessor), GT7 has online saves, so that left astro bot.
