To be honest, yes.
Microsoft have that with their console. (Playing Xbox 360 games and streaming to my Laptop is all my Xbox One is good for albeit)
So how do you lie that down?
why? It would be wasted on Mario 22, Mario Kart 16 and Zelda 34.
... that's incredible!

Did you expect PS3 and earlier BC? I don't think there has been mention of BC beyond PS4 from Sony at any point.
I expect them to make the effort at least yes. I know it's not easy, especially the PS3, but if Microsoft can do it with the Series X and actually enhance old games, then why can't Sony put the effort in?
These days if you have a decent mid-range PC you can emulate PS1 and PS2 games on modern HDTV's with much higher resolutions and frame rates. But it was the PS3 i was more concerned withMyself and many others have been hoping for a system that allows you to play PS1 and PS2 games on modern HDTV's without it looking like crap. They did it on the original PS3 that launched in the US, but we never got it in the UK, our version only had partial support done through software which they eventually gave up on (and they charged us more for.)
I didn’t like the use of turbo on the ps5, it seemed messy for devs to use. Could be totally wrong though. The whole idea behind the fixed power/variable clocks design means they know exactly how much power the APU is going to use at maximum load. They can therefore make the cooling system quiet at this maximum load and guarantee it will never get louder. In theory...![]()
I wonder what stance Sony will take this gen with steering wheels, I know there were issues going from ps3 to ps4. I'd like to not have to buy a new one.

Seriously, do you think people will NOT buy the console because of its looks? Genuine question.
I personally thought it looked utterly awesome.
The console looks quality to me. Can't wait.
Yeah that was weird. The whole presentation was weird to be honest.Im still boggled they led with GTA5.
Not just a PCI-E SSD, the system has custom IO chips also, a PC would need a substantially faster SSD to make up the difference. That's a PCI-E SSD!
Ahh okay. Won't exactly look elegant that way either. I prefer the cuboid with better cooling in mind so far.
For me, it's a tricky choice. I have zero interest in the PS exclusives other than GT and if they're coming away from GT Sports competitive multiplayer, then Forza has it for me.* I've more invested on the Xbox side too, although my PSN+ runs to mid-2021 whereas my Gold+Game Pass runs till either Jan or Feb 2021. Two of my close mates run Xbox (more serious about gaming) where I have about 5/6 on PS which are generally carried along by me...
*One thing I've noticed is GTPlanet forum members often keep saying the same stuff for release after release. And every time, they don't get the features that have been in the last number of FM games. GT started my car (and JDM) fanaticism too.
There was an interesting post on Reddit about console development, which gives you a bit of an idea about development on PlayStation, with PS2 looking like a right pain.
I guess they should be capable of easily making an efficient emulator for all games across the board, but they must not be interested in doing so, which is a big shame.
Thing about it tho, I'm willing to bet it's going to be loud again. That config just isn't conducive to airflow at low rpm.
