I'm stunned that they opened this with a.....7 year old PS3 game.

WTF?

Rockstar handed them a massive brown envelope I would imagine. Plus GTAV is an incredibly popular game even now, so a lot of people will still want to play GTAV online, even on a PS5!

Have they actually announced that they will only be doing it in white? I cant see it personally. Especially when they initially showed a white controller and then showed the black one. Maybe the sides are just panels that you can just pull off and replace with whatever colour you like.

The black controller was also a Photoshop job. The only console and controller shown by Sony are white. At release and for the foreseeable future afterwards, it will only come in white.

why? It would be wasted on Mario 22, Mario Kart 16 and Zelda 34.

How so? I'd love an uber powered Zelda. And Mario with Ratchett and Clank visuals!

This wasn't a great showing for me. Some of the games look decent enough and Demon's Souls will no doubt be good, but the console is a little fugly. But who cares, I guess, great games will no doubt be coming out.

I thought it was initially but then they released official pics in black like the one they had as the placeholder for the stream?

That's the thing, those that think it'll only be white are missing the fact the reason that Sony is showing off the white edition is for the high contract so that we can see the console properly in every detail. There will be a black version soon after launch without a doubt, i'll eat my hat if there isn't

I cannot see any reason why Sony would release both a white and black version, that's four SKU's at launch.

Ain't gonna happen, it's white and that's it.

Edit: Will be interesting to see what limited editions they release in the future, some good colour combo potential.

The two "slots" on the console - someone said they were LEDs. They're the buttons. One is power, the other is eject (which explains why the digital edition only has the one of them). That's that solved.

There's nothing to guess... It was definitely the white controller that they have shown, in shadow. They will probably release a black controller and console in time. Nowhere close to release though.

So the only game presentation in 60fps are GT7 and SackBoy. Does it mean that 90% of games will be running at 30fps like they do on current consoles..?
If so than that is a huge disappointment and I will not be buying it. Will rather spend twice as much money on new GPU just to get more frames.

It's not a sticker it's a proper vinyl skin, so if the white colour offended you so much you could change it.

I'm just watching the trailers so it's difficult to say as they'll only be encoded in 30fps but I get the impression we're going to be at 30fps again for a lot of games! Which poses the question - if a Zen 2 8C/16T CPU and 10 TFlop GPU is getting maxed out at 30fps, what on earth are you going to need on PC for 60fps? (Granted you can always lower the resolution back to 1080p but that would be awful!)

My summary so far - this is going to be the generation of particles. They're everywhere in these trailers. Snow, fire, sparks, dust, bucketloads of them.
