Yea. Mad. What does the colour of a console or piece of hardware got to do with anything? Should I be offended that all these years TVs, video/dvd players etc have been black? The thought did not even cross my mind. I like them black, but it has nothing to do with anything else, you really need to stretch to see a link imo.

I think they might release black replaceable faceplates for The people that really don’t like the white console.

for me I don’t mind either way. I’m buying day 1.

You need to think deeper; it's all about the symbolism and what putting the white model first represents!

If we are thinking that crazy deep then I would say it represents equality. As PS2, 3 and 4 were black

Indeed. Everything about my unit area is black. Hi-Fi black looks sleek and nothing sticks out.

I think the air flow design is a lot better this time round, sucking cold in from the bottom and exhausting it at the top. Just like the 360.

The 360 exhaust was out the back of the console. The top and bottom were intakes.

The airflow design does appear to be better, but I'd still expect a fair amount of heat and noise.

I have warmed slightly to the design, but I'm still convinced that function over form is the way with anything electronic.

Sold my PS4P today for £240, thought I'd do it before they drop big time if they do at all. Hopefully that's about 50% towards a V if I get one.

I'd say that's pretty decent, especially as hopefully you'll be able to play a lot of your ps4 back catalog on the ps5
