With nioh 2, elden ring, ghosts of Tsushima and last of us 2 along with the destiny 2 seasons, random oculus quest and psvr gems I won't be too put out by a short delay.

I'm in no rush for next-gen, I could easily wait another year or more (until decent games come out.) My PS4 has been packed away in its original box for over a year now, there's been no games I want that haven't been on the PC. The only reason I haven't sold it was because of FF7 Remake. Its a bit of a sad state of affairs when the only modern console game that gets me excited is a remake of an old classic...

I really wish they made games like they did for the PS1 - expansive, far out story and wacky character driven games. Now everything takes itself way too seriously and is stuffed with modern politics and sensitivities. Even indy devs are at it. I just want pure RPG fantasy and escapism and barely anyone seems to want to do that anymore.

Maybe you've just been gaming for too long and you've grown out of it/tired of it? Imo there have been loads of good PS4 games, the exciting exclusives are why I chose to keep my PS4 and sell my XB1. Just off the top of my head in recent years we've had:

Spider-Man
God of War
Uncharted 4
Uncharted Lost Legacy
Horizon Zero Dawn
Death Stranding

That's without even considering the multi-platform games we've had, plus there are exciting games to come this year, such as the Resident Evil 3 Remake, FFVII remake, Last of Us Part 2, Ghost of Tsushima, Cyberpunk 2077. Personally I think this has been my favourite gen as a Playstation owner. Sure, MS has had better generations, I'd say the 360 was probably the most exciting time to own an Xbox, but as a Playstation owner it has been really exciting.

They won't get delayed - well of course the world could descend into "end times" but cannot see that happening. Not saying there might not be so many consoles available at launch, so maybe people will have to wait for the second manufacturing run - but I personally think these will launch as planned.
People keep on seeing Sony's lack of public information as some kind of delay because of "problems". Sony are just releasing information in their own time, they won the current generation "war" and don't need to accelerate their already planned release.
I'm with Rob. I'm fairly convinced that not only next-gen consoles, but a whole host of PC releases are going to be pushed to 2021, now.

Would be surprised if anything big launches in 2020 now.

The current situation has basically written off the entire year. We're not even close to the worst of it yet, and look how many places are in lock-down.

It's going to take 6-12 months for things to return to normal after this. You don't just flip a switch and go from lockdown back to full production. There are going to be lay-offs, delays, cancellations, companies going bust... you name it.

Glad I picked up my PS4 Pro as was close to waiting for the PS5. Might just end up playing Cyberpunk 2077 on that also unless Nvidia get their finger out and and release the RTX 3070.

There's is the Skywalker saga coming out, but that's a Lego game and will likely sell loads, might even get some kind of crossover. I'm sure when the ps4/one came out, games were coming out for the prior generation and the latest attempt the same time.

I'm guessing Sony was waiting for Xbox to fully reveal their specs before they jump in? So they could wow the consumers? That's my take on it.

Sony will have to pull something pretty execptional to top MS. Only thing Sony have got at the moment is exclusives.

It's really nice that MS allowed people to show the innards of it way before release and showing quite an innovative cooling solution - good job MS!

I dunno Xbox One X is better than PS4 Pro but I still prefer the latter and Sony are aiming to focus on single player next gen.

What good is amazing hardware if you don't have the amazing games to back it up?

Saying the only thing Sony have is exclusives is a little short sighted.

The only thing Sony have had for the last 2 generations are exclusives... it's what keeps people coming back.

I agree it looks an impressive bit of hardware, Sony won't be a million miles away.

I think this gen could be closer with Sony edging it due to lower starting price and exclusives. MS needs to up it's exclusive content. Something innovative like oculus quest link compatibility with the new Xbox for Vr support would be a game changer.
