Just seen that AC Mirage is now showing on PS Store for pre-order.

Had a little laugh to myself at the description of “a Ubisoft original” on the title image.

Lol - the franchise is staler than Halo and Gears put together! :p

But I just read that it does have all new assassination animations. Well in that case, sign me up for a pre-order and take my money!

New animation is assassinating with the left hand instead of the right :cry: .
 
I am playing Origins right now and it’s a bloody decent game. May not be what they used to be but the games are just different. Better? In some instances yes much better. In others perhaps not so much. I will buy the new one as I’m interested to see what they’ve done with it.

Think it's just that I've done too many games in Egyptian settings as opposed to the others. I have no doubt I'll play it at some point, I got the gold edition on Turkish store for like £6.
 
It looks like the new AC game is going back to the pre-Origins/Odyssey/Valhalla route of being a little more linear (still open but not quite so open world) and more 'assassin' focused which definitely makes me more tempted to play it.

I fell in love with Assassin's Creed games with Assassins Creed 2, I remember that being the first one that really gripped me - and then adored Revelations. I think that was the only game on Xbox 360 I got 100% Xbox achievement completion. I know Unity got a bad rep for it's performance but I loved the story the whole way through. The same for Syndicate! I liked being able to swap between the twins, the story was fun and London was an awesome setting.

Tried Origins, enjoyed Bayek as a character (and the soundtrack to Origins is incredible) but it felt so vast. The same for Odyssey - although I played a lot more of Odyssey than Origins. I actually loved Odyssey and was around 40/50 hours in when I had to sail for 30 actual real life minutes to start the next main story line - only to then have to travel another 30 minutes to actually get to where it then was beginning. Basically put it down at that point and never went back - and then skipped Valhalla all together.

Hopefully Mirage is good! 50/50 on getting it at release day.
 
I played Unity on the PS5 via disc and it was an amazing experience at 60fps. Paris was glorious. Love that game. I don’t mind the modern ones though Valhalla is the weakest. I am looking forward to seeing how the new one plays out.
 
I loved Odyssey it’s the only AC game I played and completed. It made me go out and buy Valhalla which I’m yet to start.

Hopefully the new one is just as good.

I don't think there's an upper limit unless Sony changed something.

Not sure if I want to get it now or wait for the next promo, after all there's still quite some time till my sub expires so maybe I should just grab some games I wanted in the sale, not sure:p

EDIT: There's a chance Black Friday will get us 33% off, I think.
