V underwhelming. Not particularly bothered about Spiderman as with all those types of games itll be average story wise and the combat will be similar to 99% of those types of games. I think when you have to start putting music expansion packs and a VR modes of a nearly 20 year old game you're struggling.

No MGS3, no SH2 and no Tekken 8. And no Bloodborne Remake:p

Not that fussed about Spidey, liked and platinumed the game but not sure I have it in me to do another 30h of swinging from place to place and pressing two buttons in combat:p
MGS3 remake was announced.

And yea I agree and just posted the same RE Spiderman. Only so much of the same old formula I can put up with. Loved the first one, dont care to play it again with a new skin.

As long as they introduce a few new gameplay elements and the story's good, I'll be all over Spider-Man 2.

No different to the Batman Arkham trilogy, gameplay mechanics were pretty much untouched but I loved all three.

Got a bit stale though didnt they. I just have infamous vibes from it where it just gets boring.

Tbf though im struggling with Sonys stuff atm. Horizon forbidden west for eg bored the hell out of me and im 10 hours into GOW Rag and i just think theres a lot of filler...might just be me though.

Alan Wake 2's a digital only title apparently.

And apparently they'll be passing the savings on to the players, so should be a tenner or so less than other new releases.

One of the problems for me is that their best/most successful games share a lot of common DNA. I'm hoping Wolverine goes down the linear route instead of open world, and really focuses in on the combat and story.

I agree, Playstation AAA games all share a certain formulaic approach, that just happens to be popular and successful. But if a player doesn't like one of their games there's a fair chance they might bounce off some others. Thankfully, I'm in the camp that enjoys their output.

I've enjoyed it for the most part, but wouldn't mind a little variety either!

As I've said, Sony games have become really formulaic ans one-note for the most part.

I like and can enjoy most of them but they almost always go for the super-cinematic hand-holdy stuff where actual gameplay systems often take a backseat and/or the games are Ubi titles in disguise like Ghost of Tsushima which was not only terribly simplistic but also more shallow and repetitive than say AC Origins, an actual Ubi game, when it comes to side content and gameplay.

Similarly, they're almost always overrated to hell and back. Ragnarok did a lot wrong with puzzles, level design and story pacing but it still got 10/10s everywhere when it was worse than GoW 2018 and that game sure as hell wasn't a 10/10, more like an 8/10 in my book.

That's not to say those games are bad but I really hope they diversify a bit in the future and work on deeper, better gameplay loops with more thought-out storytelling without having to pick fruits going in loops for 20mins like in Ragnarok.

Was Meh really.. Liked Alan Wake 2, Spider-Man2 and Snake Eater but the rest was not really that good..

I am REALLY not happy about Alan Wake 2 being digital only! I guess i wont be buying that until its on offer for £20. :(

That Project Q is an odd thing though, what are they trying to emulate? Do they think that there is a massive market for people that want to play their console that they have paid £500 for on a handheld in bed? If it could play games standalone but could also play the bigger games streamed then fair enough but it seemed a really odd addition.
