Hope we get to see some quality titles and not a load of multiplatform Indies. Not saying Indies can't be quality but for an initial reveal I'd hope to see some heavy hitters.
They're doing a few shows over the summer, so they might not have a long list of big hitters on show next week (keeping some in reserve). But there are plenty of rumours that a full remake of Demon's Souls, and HZD2 will be the big titles revealed next week. I normally don't put much stock in stuff like this, but one or two outlets seem confident in the rumours being true.

I'd enjoy HZD 2 but tbh I don't hold much interest in remakes, had my fill I think.

Has anyone thought about where they are preordering from? I always hate this part, choosing as I hate getting things late!
Surely everywhere will be the same price anyway? I'm leaning towards Amazon as I feel they will have the most stick, unless they sell them here. Not sure if OC sell consoles anymore?

I'm not really bothered about the cost, more just getting enough stock so I get it on release :)

I'm conflicted, on one hand I'd like one at launch but on another I'd rather everyone beta tested it first so we see what issues come out of it after a few months.

Argos. I want to put it on Buy Now, Pay 12 months later thing so I can afford some games to go with it. Otherwise I'll be playing my old PS4 collection. :D

Just get a interest free credit card, there's always ones for 12, 24, 36 months interest free out there.

Haven't decided on pre-ordering yet, but if I do it will be with whichever physical shop a) accepts the pile of gift cards that I have accumulated recently, and b) is closest to my front door. :p

I considered the second requirement too and that would be Tesco for me. It is open 24/7 so well positioned for a midnight launch but I have no idea if they are any good at console launches? Will they have stock?

We wont have a clue about stock levels till much closer to launch.

If I remember there were fears of "low" stock with the ps4 launch and Sony ran out of the initial allocated stock but were fairly quick on fulfilling orders and the scalpers lost out.

I'll use Amazon. I started using the "Top-up Balance" about a year ago, just transferring the odd £50 or £100 over at the end of each month, so there is a healthy "PS5 Fund" there.
I'll pre-order the PS5 as one transaction and then a second transaction for any games, additional controllers or peripherals I might want.
I'm not that fussed if it doesn't arrive "on launch day". Don't get me wrong, I'm almost certainly going to pre-order so I can have it from the beginning, but actually needing to have it on the very day it releases, less so. If it arrived a day or two late it certainly wouldn't be the end of the world.

When was the last time a piece of hardware was released with "known manufacturing defaults at launch"?
I'm talking large or expensive items - TV's, Separates, Monitors, Computer Components, Consoles even.

I think he means in regards to fan noises etc, I mean my pro is noisy and later revisions are better.

Same with launch PS4 had revisions and subtle changes with the touch buttons being removed

To some degree you can end up with a slightly improved product by waiting

Thanks Mark yes this is what I meant. Think also Switch Joycon drift issue.

Xbox 360 RROD, PS4 Pro thermal solution, Switch Joy-con drifting, XBox Elite controller shoulder buttons.

It’s very common with video game systems and accessories.
