Xbox 360 RROD, PS4 Pro thermal solution, Switch Joy-con drifting, XBox Elite controller shoulder buttons.
It’s very common with video game systems and accessories.
I wouldn't know about the Xbox. I wasn't aware of the PS Pro problem - just googled and still aren't aware. You on about the noise? Ah ok, I have a first month Pro, still quiet (even though people tell me it can't possibly be and I'm lying). And the otheres quickly and easily fixed with a swap out.
What I'm saying is there are very rarely items that hit market that firstly have an issue and secondly aren't quickly and easily fixed. Considering the sheer number of original PS4 owners there are out there with 6.5
I think he means in regards to fan noises etc, I mean my pro is noisy and later revisions are better.
Same with launch PS4 had revisions and subtle changes with the touch buttons being removed
To some degree you can end up with a slightly improved product by waiting
Yes - now this I can get on board with.
Products will continue to be worked on during their life and there will be "improvements" made. We had what, PS4 A, B, C chassis followed by Slim. I think the Pro has had three revisions.
If those potential future improvements are worth being without said item for an amount of time I guess that is down to individual preference. We're unlikely to see a "B" version of the PS5 until "Holiday" 2021 and who knows what changes it will have.
More often than not future revisions are "cost downs" as opposed to much else. I am under no illusion there won't be a 1.6TB version of the base unit some 2 years or so after launch.
I'm still told constantly that my first month purchased Pro is noisy. It isn't, but if I say this I'm told I'm a liar etc.
