I had an absolute 'mare getting mine to work, but that was with 1.54 (US machine). I found setting the encryption to WPA-PSK and generally faffing around for 8 hours got it working ! What router do you have?
I have a cheap SMC WBR14-G

It works fine without WPA/Firewall as I downloaded 1.5GB of demo's and also my laptop works finw with WPA and the Firewall on

Ill iv done was put the PS3 ip addy in the firewall rules downloaded the lastest firmware for my model.

I reset the router back to factory settings last night to clear all my old settigs redone what i said above and touch wood so far been fine!

It is annoying as I have the choice of not having encryption and a working PS3 or encryption on and a non working PS3.

I can however reset the router back to default settings and try again, I haven't done this so far as it means I have to set up port forwarding again for the laptop and PC.

@Darkaber, do you mean you got the PS3 working with WPA Encryption enabled by resetting the router?

Right i have just enabled WPA Encryption and i was disconected from the PSN within 3 mins so as it stands on this router to get the PS3 working i need to have Encryption disabled :/

I do have a type2 NAT on the PS3 by the way which is a good thing

/n00b mode on
What does that do and why does that help?
/n00b mode off

Every network card has an individual MAC address. You can tell your router to only allow connections from specific MAC addresses, stopping unknown devices connecting. Unfortunately its not that safe as you can spoof MAC addresses very easily.

Is it true that it is possible to download all the PS1 titles online?

Will that be very soon or will it be a few months before that is possible?

Also my GF wants to buy Sonic, even after I told het it got a 4.2 by Gamespot, but is there a demo available now? I thought there was but checking yesterday I could not find it.

Yea, I'm also wondering about PS1 games for the PS3. There's a couple of games I need to go back to again, like Vagrant Story and FFVII.

The Wireless errors/connection problems I am having are deffo related to WPA encryption as the PS3 works fine with the firewall enabled, as soon as I enable WPA encryption it says the connection is fine but gives the error within 5 seconds of opening the browser or store.

Anyone any ideas id the Logitech Driving force pro PS2 wheel is compatible with the PS3......I know the G25

Thanks

Can anyone get the Def Jam Icon demo to work from US store? Downloaded twice and it says data corrupted.
I've not tried it on the PS3 but I got it on my 360 and it sucks big time I wouldn't bother trying to download it again, unless the PS3 demo version allows you to smash Sean Paul's face in.

Sony won't learn their lesson.
They should supply to us first, or at the same time. Time and time again we back them with sales, come PSP2/PS4 we will be last in line again.
We're the hardest place to launch in. So many languages and legislations in the various different countries to cater for.

Oddly enough that was the only reason I was ever even remotely interested in this game as well.

True, but then again, English is the main language here, then French. A lot like North America.
Language packs aren't hard to install.

As for selling in different countries, it's not too difficult.
