**** The Official Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Thread ****

Because unless there's some kind of fancy DAC in there (I presume not because you're connecting it to a DAC) it literally won't do anything to the quality of a digital signal?

Well when it comes I'll test is against the £7 one & let you if it did sound better or the same.

Unless it is a blind ABX test, you have to factor in placebo. It is literally impossible for a digital signal to 'sound better' because it is all 1's and 0's and if they get to their destination as they should you will hear sound as you expect. If they don't, you'll get very noticeable cut-outs and artefacts.

Galaxy Note 10 Lite is Samsung’s new affordable Galaxy Note
We previously reported that Samsung is working on a new Galaxy Note handset. This will likely be a model that’s more affordable compared to the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+. We have received some information about this device that we would like to pass along.

Samsung appears to have decided on a name for this device. We hear that the new affordable model is going to be called the Galaxy Note 10 Lite. Since it carries the Galaxy Note 10 branding, Samsung could release it in the coming months.

Galaxy Note 10 Lite is what Samsung’s calling the SM-N770F
Samsung has already split the Galaxy Note series into two this year with the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+. There are some differences between the two models to justify the difference in price. That being said, many wouldn’t call the $949 Galaxy Note 10 affordable.

This still isn't clear to me.. the way I understand it now having seen those cables is that you had a USB-c to USB-A cable plugged into a USB-A to USB-B adapter then into the DAC and that's what wasn't working?

So now you've gone directly from USB-C to USB-B and thats picking up that it's plugged into a DAC for audio and it's stopped outputting via the speakers?

Would be good to be clear as I'm sure others may experience this.. your situation is niche but not a one off I'm sure.

I have gone from a USB-B / USB-A with a C adapter on, this didn't work. To a cable with USB-B / USB-C cable, no adapters.

Now works fine. I have no clue what was causing the problem but a change in cale sorted it, so maybe the cable was the problem. Although I cannot get my Mate 20x to work with any cable to the DAC.

Hope that helps?

Yeah makes more sense. I'll gamble it was probably the adapter. Or the fact the cable was plugged into an adapter meaning the phone wasn't getting the message it needed to route audio.

The Audioquest cable came this weekend so I have tested against the £6 cable & i have to say WOW what a massive difference. Everything is so clear. crisp & open with Audioquest cable.

Expensive - Maybe
Worth the Money - Differently
Do is make a difference - Hell you bet it does.

The One UI 2.0 beta program will be launched in France, Poland, Spain, the UK, India, and China in the near future, for both the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Note 10 series.

We have not been told if Galaxy Note 10+ 5G owners will be able to participate, but we hope they do. After all, the Galaxy Note 10+ 5G is more widely available than the Galaxy S10 5G and also is pretty much the same device as the LTE variant of the Galaxy Note 10+.

I went to have a play with a Note 10/+ today and was impressed with the look and feel of the device. I also had a look at the OP7T/Pro which were the main competitors in my mind (specifically for 90hz) and I just didn't get the same feeling of wanting one. They were both nice, but the 90hz wasn't as noticeable as the last time I looked at a 7 Pro a few months ago.

Now to sit tight until Black Friday and get the Note 10+ at a more palatable price.

Just received at small security update 17.29mb. Think this is the update for finger print hack

Finally got my hands on an 45W, tested it just now at work. Sorry i got abit distracted on the 95 to 100% but then we know it throttles by that point anyway.
