A 4" screen?!

The latest bit of information talks about some of the specs of the device. For starters, the phone is said to have a 4-inch, 1280 x 720 resolution, AMOLED display. No mention of the sub-pixel arrangement has been made but we are willing to bet it's PenTile RGBG. Not that it would matter, because with a pixel density of a mind-boggling 367 PPI, you're not going to notice any difference at all.

The processor is said to be one of Samsung's Exynos SoC, with a dual-core 1.4GHz CPU and Mali-400 MP GPU. There will be 1GB of RAM and the phone will be running on Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich.

That's all there is to know right now. We're sure more info will surface soon as we near the expected launch in May.

If they do go for this small(ish) upgrade, I can't see many people jumping ship from the Galaxy S II.

It's all rumours at the moment, but another picture has leaked (http://phandroid.com/2012/04/04/new...up-in-a-press-invite-to-be-unveiled-may-22nd/) which invites people to an event on the 22 May in London and has part of a phone on it.

A half way point between a iPhone 4 and Galaxy Nexus in terms of hand set size would be perfect for me. If they can fit a 4.3" screen on that then that's perfect but I will be happy with a 4".

Honestly, I would like a bigger screen than my 3.5" Milestone but my brother's S2 handset just seems too wide. But I really doubt the S3 will be smaller than the S2.

Good its still not mature enough yet and that is from someone who thinks the 3DS screen is awesome. Would look **** on a phone though.

"Vivid.Fast.Slim" is used to describe the SG S11. You would have thought they would use something different instead of rearranging it to "Fast.Vivid.Slim". ;)

Still really tempted to get a HTC One but 10/26GB storage is utterly pathetic for a phone from 2012.
The SGS3 better have a SD card slot or a minimum 64GB internal, maybe they'll include one of their new 64GB UHS-1 cards?

Same here, need more than 26GB for all my music. Will have to see what the S3 specs are like, just wish they'd hurry up and announce!

Another +1 for the storage. It was the reason for not getting the SGN.
