Just Pre ordered my Galaxy S4 in Black

T-mobile Full monty £26/month + £99.99 for the phone with £40 quidco cash back.

500mins
Unlimited Texts
Unlimited Internet

I think that's a great deal!

Tried to get the same deal. They bloody turned me down. :S

just phoned o2 to give my 30 days notice and they can pretty much match the chitter chatter deal.
£26 a month for 600 mins / unlimited texts / 750mb data + £99 for the handset

Guess it saves on the hassle with migrating onto an unfamiliar network

Just been looking up T Mobiles traffic rules and it looks like they limit the speed to 4MB down and 1MB up on the Full Monty package. Is this after you have used what they deem an excessive amount or from the get go?

That's excellent!
I have tried to get O2 to price match that deals but they refused, how did you manage that? Did you speak with retentions?
I guess it has to do with who you get to speak...

From the go, but you can usually get the cap removed by complaining :)

Some sources say there is no cap on new accounts now - I know my existing one doesn't have a cap and I've never complained... not sure really thing they are just a bit random!

Cheers, I will be complaining as I did not see it mentioned anywhere. The T&Cs I read where these ones.

Also if you go to the T-Mobile website for more information it states that the Full Monty price plan is unlimited without restrictions. I'd class a speed cap of 4/1 as a big restriction.

Dialed 202 selected option 2 then option 2 again. Didn't have to go through retentions. Told the nice lady that i would like to give my 30 days notice - she asked why and i explained that i found a better deal else where, provided the details. Next thing i was on hold for 5 minutes and they were able to match it minus the data.

I imagine it all depends on who you speak to. Can't believe their prices on the website though they are extortionate! They must be getting a lot of calls with people wanting to leave because of the much better deals elsewhere.. maybe they have clocked on...

excellent - will do that tonight for the missus who is with o2 and her contract ended last week. Also with o2 recycle she will get £110 for her S2 so basically it's free phone.

Agreed about the online upgrades - it's £399 for the phone on the same deal as an existing customer! Just plain stupid.

I've just been through the same process. Told them that I was looking for more than 750MB of data. They offered me an extra 200 minutes :D

Ah well, I've been with O2 for quite a few years. Time for a change!

I would think so as they usually just replace the current one on the back of the phone

If these cases replace the one the phone comes with ... What's the advantage?

I assume it looks better or has some other advantage?

Anybody got a link to one?

Thanks

the advantage is it normally includes a flap over the front of the screen but it's held on the phone via the battery cover rather than a wrap around case that significantly increases the bulk.

I see

Couldn't work out from the picture what was so special about it haha

Are they expensive?

Yeah it was the tightness around the data which made me decide to switch. 750MB doesn't cut it, especially if I'm streaming a lot of videos.

Unlimited should sort me just fine, tethering or no tethering.

OEM yes, 3rd party options really depend on which one you buy, there'll be more expensive ones and less expensive ones.

Ah yeah I see some on Google now

Never seen this sort of thing as my HTC One X doesn't have a battery door, didn't know such a case existed

O2 wouldn't offer me that deal at all. Which is a shame. Worth pushing again? I've got my PAC in any event... I would rather stick with O2 though if I'm honest. Been with them years and never had any problems.

if you've got your PAC then you've basically shown your cards, you could try calling retentions (ie pick the option for "if you're thinking of leaving us" and say you're thinking twice but you can't ignore the deals you've seen such as xxx and when they say no just ask what the very best deal they can offer to keep you is.

just out of curiosity, you say you've been with them years.. how many? And when was the last upgrade and finally roughly how much do you spend every month combined?

Probably since about 2006. I was on £20 p/m simplicity up until about 2 years ago when I got the S2 on £30 p/m, free handset.

I think you're right about me asking for my PAC too early! Realised that right after ending the call!
