I actually switched to fingerprint this afternoon and it is much more convenient - and faster - than entering a pin or pattern. Rather impressed.

Yep that's why I got the standard one, so annoying!

EDIT: Finally got mine setup fully now I think... maybe

Nice, details please, ie. clock? icons? launcher? :)

Seconded!

Samsung.de have the black 64Gb non edge in stock for 799 euros. But, of course they don't ship to UK!

Hopefully may mean that amazon.de get stock in soon and send mine on its way.

As I like the phone naked, I've just bought a ceocase pouch from ebay. Gone for the brown one.

I've got a similar sleeve for my nexus 9 and it's fantastic quality especially with the branding on it.

was torn as to which glass protector and case to buy

ended up getting the top reviewed one on amazon and the spigen clear liquid case. My other choice was the spigen neo hybrid with gold trim but it's out of stock.

Once again, does anyone have a download link for the BTU firmware for SM-G920F?

SamMobile download is just too slow, 8-12 hour download is just daft.

When did you order? How did you find this out - did they email you?

Question answered :)

Good news eh? :D

Getting really frustrated at little things on the software side now. Like persistent notifications for silent mode, power saving mode. That coupled with the redundant SFinder and Quick connect means I have room for 1 or 2 notifications.

Yup. All of those annoy me too. (And don't forget the notification when charging. I know my phone's charging without a notification, Samsung. The clue is the charging cable connected to it.)

Love the phone. Dislike Samsung's UI modifications quite a lot. Reviews say that TouchWiz is cleaner than previously. If this is the clean version then how intrusive was it before?!

Taking my S6 Edge back to O2 (14 day cooling off) today, never really got on with the OS very well and while I think the hardware is great it never really "wowed" me.

Seriously considering sending mine back too. Software is anything and frustrating, and I'm struggling with the ethonomics of it. I can barely reach the back button because it's on the wing side of the phone! :p

The edge was a gimmick, a two week novelty which has now worn off for most people.

Everyone knows Android is annoying, it always has been, and always will be. Google do not think there is an problem, when there clearly is. That said, if you use the good bits of Android (many people don't) like Google Now you soon realise you can't live without it. This kinda keeps you lock into the ecosystem.

Personally I think the standard s6 is the best phone currently out on the market (as long as you can live with the forced closed apps, laggyness, and general annoyances which are android) with the iPhone 6 a very close second.

The screen and camera are it's selling points

For me the processor was the selling point, as it now means I can play Hi10p encoded videos with no issues, something no other mobile chip was managing. I had to think long and hard, and have a play with the phone for some time before I decided it was worth the money however.

If the active variant with the original spec, but micro-USB/waterproof/3000MAH battery appears however I may sell this and move over. To me, the micro-USB is a shame, and the waterproof would have been nice, but its the bigger battery that's the real draw.

Touchwiz/battery aside, I like the SGS6 a lot, but I'd never shell out for the Edge. It didn't even feel nice to hold.
