*** The Official Samsung Galaxy S6/Edge Thread ***

I've been wondering, how do you actually use one of these 'edge' phones without always touching something on the edge of the screen by accident?

regardless of whether its plastic or metal, the whole "silver band" round the edge is getting old and imo never looked good. hoped it would go with this release but looks unlikely!

At least with samsung conferences windows users can watch them, hate that hole mac/ios only live apple conferences :P

^Even Mac users could not watch the Apple stream properly.

Lol well i tried the whole vlc thing that suppose to work on windows but it's always been choppy and the last one i think was in chinese/japanese!

Yeah will be good :) Never had any issues watching Samsung releases

Quite like the Edge in black! :)

Yer same, edge in black, will wait to see prices though!

Just thought, screen protectors will be awful on the edge!

I tried a screen protector on my HTC Desire, it went badly so I removed it, and from that point onwards I've not bothered. I'm sure my luck will run out, but I've never had a scratch (there are probably micro-scratches on them which won't help in bright light, but nothing visible to the naked eye).

I did have a crack on the glass on my S3 (just on the bottom corner, and didn't make it as far as the screen nor affect use) but I'm fairly sure a screen protector wouldn't have helped anyway.
