I'd say roughly about 4 ish hours screen on time. Maybe a bit more sometimes a bit less. The battery is alright. Nothing special though. I'm just glad it quick charges. :p

Mine has the bolder outline.

How do you get the s planner icon to show the current date?

for those who have had their S6 a while now

what kind of Screen on Time are you getting?

Hmm, depends on what kind of usage I guess. Mine is currently showing over 5 hours. I've watched one or two youtube videos but mostly just browsing and posting. Although, continuously at the moment with wifi permanently on, as my laptop has been out of action since friday till I get a new charger. Compared to my S2, I've got no complaints. I find this battery is great, particularly as I can charge it up again so fast.

That's a very good question! I don't know, lol. I've looked in the settings but can't find anything relating to it. I must admit, I only noticed the date on it myself a couple of days ago.

Hey guys, I was wondering how I might be able to connect the S6 to my TV to watch youtube and movies? I believe I would need the correct type of MHL cable and hope the phone supports it? I'm assuming though that the phone couldn't be charged while connected?

Most MHL cables I have seen have a micro usb port so you can charge at the same time.

From my personal experience a chromecast will do a better job because a lot of MHL cables display no signal.

Since posting my question, I found out that the S6 doesn't support MHL. :(
Pity as I thought it might be simple to do. In fact, someone on xda linked a nifty white S6 MHL/Micro-USB to HDMI High Speed Adapter on Amazon (unavailable) but it didn't work.

I don't know much about chromecast but apparently involves a dongle and iniating it using a chromecast app. But the quality isn't as good as MHL. Not sure I'm as interested now unless I can get high quality visuals.

I use mine to stream 1080MKV files.

Is it good HD quality? Where do I get a dongle and are they expensive?

Edit: Right, it looks to be £30 for the chrome dongle and that plugs into an hdmi socket on my tv. Says wifi needed on phone. I presume my tv doesn't need to be wifi enabled though, (it's not) hence the dongle?

I tried using the built-in Screen Mirroring and the screen mirroring functionality built into my Fire TV Stick, and lets just say the results were not great, really juddery and low frame rate.

Guessing Chromecast may be better for this?

Edit: Ah, just found another app called Localcast that specifically mentions the Fire Stick and advises to download the localcast for fire programme, so guess the screen mirroring that the Fire Stick supports out the box is not as good, and somewhat different.
Will give this a try later :)

I didn't realise this dongle is readily sold at tesco, currys and argos, all at £30. Tesco has to be ordered in. Currently on the phone to argos to see if they have one I can pick up.
