*** The Official Samsung Galaxy S6/Edge Thread ***

I an average SoT of typically 2.5 hrs. Think I received just over 3 hours one day which is my best yet. Did a factory reset with no success, anyone have any tips? fearing that I have a faulty s6

I would get rid of Facebook/Messenger, they are known culprits for sucking huge battery. Just use a browser and save it as a favorite, which is what I do. There's various tweaks you can do to Google Services also, some may require rooting.

5 hours screen on time with 13% battery left. Happy with that.

To be fair I find that to be more than possible when on Wifi with my Edge...typically I do get that kind of usage at home when on a permanent Wifi connection however when on a typical working day with no permanent Wifi connection I'm anything between 2.5-3.5 hours. More than enough for me considering I listen to around 1.5hrs a day of music/podcasts on the phone.

Wow, I'm really impressed with chromecast! Just set it up on the S6. I've only just tried one thing so far, jurassic world official trailer on youtube and it streams really smooth. HD quality is very good.

There's loads of offers on Chromecast, I've had credit and freebies that have paid for my Chromecast and I've got 5 offers I haven't activated yet, just waiting for the right moment.

I'll check out the website. The box came with 3 months free 'Now tv' and 3 months unlimited music from google play.

How are you guys finding battery life now on 5.1.1?
I am in two minds if I should manually flash via Odin or just wait it out until it automatically prompts me to update.
Although it does seem odd that it hasn't been pushed through yet seeing it has been out for a while unless Samusung have pulled it?

Honestly, in terms of battery life, I find it to be neither better nor worse.

Ahhh I REALLY want the S6 Active (has built-in wireless charging too), but looks like its only available in the USA at the moment. :(

Had my 32GB Black standard S6 on Monday. I checked for issues I've read about on here (micro scratches, dodgy home button, pink tint to screen etc), and everything seems hunky dory.

Lovely phone, beautiful screen and super smooth and fast.

The fingerprint sensor works really well, so no more of my mates spying my unlock pattern, and posting dodgy Facebook updates if I leave my phone unattended :)

Just bought myself some TecTiles or NFC tags to normal people.

Anyone use NFC tags? Looking for inventive idea's.

Got some a few years ago, theres very little real world application I found and got bored of them pretty quick.

When I was on W7 I used one for WOL, sat one by my front door and swiped it as I walked in, by the time I got upstairs PC was up and working.
