*** The Official Samsung Galaxy S6/Edge Thread ***

Is the battery on the Galaxy S6 really as bad as people make out? Screen on time? How does the camera compare to the LG G4? I am liking the size of it compared to a lot of the larger handsets but don't fancy compromising on the battery and camera too much.

How is 8 hours 11 minutes bad for the Galaxy S6 Edge?

I would ignore the results for the Galaxy S6, Phonearena are just incompetent, a little bit of common sense and they would redo the test, clearly 50mAh doesn't gave you an hour of battery life.

Also that was quite a few months ago, it's improved with the latest updates.

Phonearena, said the s6 edge was good!

turns out that it was better than the iPhone 6 plus

Quote from phone arena :

This gives the S6 edge a small... well, edge, over the competition that had to play by the rules. Still, even keeping that in mind, we still have to give it to Samsung's top new smartphone – its battery life is great.

If anyone near Manchester wants to take this spare consumer Gear VR (sealed, boxed) off my hands before I stick it on the usual site drop me a trust message. - Scratch that, my sister wants it for xmas...

In other news I dropped my brand new S6 last night and cracked the screen. Cost of a new screen - £170.00 with a 7-14 day turn around time.

Not a happy bunny :(

Ouch! Don't you have insurance?

Only under my contents insurance and the excess is £150 so not worth bothering with. I'll just have to chalk it up to idiot tax.

The last phone I ever broke was the original iphone years ago that fell out of my pocket and down the side of a couch cushion and somehow broke. I'm normally good at looking after them but the brushed metal sides on the S6 are slippery as hell.

Maybe a bit late to the game, but I finally got round to have a look at the Official Samsung Galaxy Wireless Fast Charger. Nice bit of kit.

I have a Samsung wireless charger (not the fast one) that I use for my S6 and it's really hit and miss as to wether it'll keep a reliable connection. I bought a much cheaper Chotech wireless charger from Amazon which I use at work and it doesn't miss a beat.

I'll be interested in hearing how reliable your fast wireless charger is over time, just to see if mine has picked up a fault or if it's common.

Done the most silly impulse buy ever bought a S6 Topaz Blue from CPW because i like the colour :P, was only suppose to be picking up a couple of things for Christmas & came home with a S6....now what to do with my Nexus 6.
