**** The Official Samsung Galaxy S7/Edge Thread ****

Just got tracking details for the case I bought from spigen, just need info on the screen protector now and im all good.

For those asking about decent Vodafone deals.....I spoke to Vodafone and they offered me a terrible deal, basically the same one advertised on their site. I requested my PAC code and gave my 30 days notice on the account and Vodafone promptly rang back a few hours later with a deal for me which included the handset for free, reduced from £279! Could be worth a try for those wanting to push through a better price.

Might be a stupid question but, Is it possible to transfer my number from one active contract to another?

Didn't want to wait a month for an upgrade being typical me :D So took another contract out with Vodafone for the S7 Edge, my original contract ends in 3 months.

You will have to pay the outstanding balance on your original account to get your PAC code.

I did this 2 years ago, was pretty painless to do.

Guys, I'm after a wireless charger that will I'll use for overnight charging so don't mind the speed. Also, I read that slower charging is better for the battery longer term.

Can you recommend a good wireless slow charger?

Also, does it come with a fast wall charger? For those times I need an extra boost and where can I buy more for the office etc?

Thanks.

If I carried on using my current sim and stuck it in the S7 when it arrives, will the new contract still commence despite not putting the new sim in the phone?

I feel ashamed, usually know this sort of stuff :(

Just spoken to Samsung, the woman on the phone said it won't be a guaranteed delivery date of the 8th but they'll try their best, she also said stock will arrive over the weekend and we should start seeing our orders change by Sunday evening.

Call Voda, what you have been advised above is not always the truth. You have contract renewal date (X) and early renewal date (x-90 days) where you can upgrade but they make you do the full term (so effectively contract length becomes 2 yr + early renewal).

I got an upgrade on pre-early renewal (x-100) by asking so that i could get the pre-order headset as a bonus on one of my staff discount lines. They can approve this with manager authorisation.

Where was it promised?

Customers in the United Kingdom appear to be getting the best deal because Samsung promises that it will deliver the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 edge to them a full three days before everybody else.

Pre-order now, get it 3 days early

also i think they said something about it on the live stream on feb 21 that all pre-orders will get it 3 days early

So how much do you guys think that the S7 will realistically drop in the 8 weeks following release?

Think I'm okay with that kind of drop, don't want to wait a couple of months and the VR makes up for it anyway.

I think the historical Amazon pricing for the S6 I was looking at may have been misleading, its not very clear as there are various models but for most the Amazon price shows from a couple of months after launch, so obviously not a good reflection.
