Yesterday's MSL rollout to the launch pad:

The 197-foot-tall United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket arrives at the launch pad at Space Launch Complex 41 at Cape Canaveral:

MSL launch today is at 15:02 GMT (10:02 EST)
 
The camera angle makes it look like it's flying back to earth. Must have a good zoom to still see it at 32 miles high.

Yeah, i'm sure they've upgraded the imaging equipment, it's usually worse than this. I wouldn't be surprised if they used that massive camera they bought to check on potential damage during Shuttle launches.

Still, beautiful as always :)


Jokester: urgh, Kerbal. Yet another example of developers not giving a flying **** about anyone other than Windows users, which they could have catered for quite easily if they'd put some thought into it since originally it worked quite well in Wine off the bat.

MSL is successfully on its way. A trajectory correction manoeuvre will take place in about two weeks time.
