It only would have damaged Florida so no biggie.
Think it's built and tested/launched in Texas no?

Think they use a specific alloy of stainless steel iirc
That was incredible!!
That's was utterly amazing. That was an epic test flight! It did everything they hoped for. Looks like they lost an engine at the end during landing. It was right on target though. Incredible achievement!
Yeah, only 2 of the 3 raptor engines fired up, so descent speed was impaired.
Looks like the igniter fuel (TEB, same as the SR71 used) igniting. Horrendous stuff, ignites on contact with air and buns bright green.
Not bad for a 1945 British design is it?
Wish we could have a couple of the Canberra's flying in the UK. Fantastic things. WK163 is meant to be in the process of being restored to flight status, but hearing absolutely nothing about it from TVOC sadly.
Saw the Canberra flying at Duxford some years back.
Here we go, it was back in 2004.

No it's spark ignitionPretty sure I've heard mentioned in one of Everyday Astronauts videos that the raptor doesn't use teb to ignite unlike the merlin.

They got XH134 flying again, but it only lasted a few years until the money ran out. It was a lovely plane to work on.

In which case... something was burning that shouldn't have been.
Desperately trying to remember my GCSE Chemistry here (sob... 26 years ago...), green = copper... ?
