***The Official Starfield Thread*** (As endorsed by TNA)

It's called a distortion of the English language, and it's a big deal in order to cater to mental illness. "They/Them" are plurals, not used for individuals is some sort of stupid woke'ism.

If you are calling me woke, thank you so much for the compliment. I know I must be a decent person if intolerant people are getting upset with me.

Incidentally, they and them can also be used in the singular sense. I am 55 and was taught that from an early age.

I think some are forgetting this is a huge budget game with huge hype and PR. All of which has resulted in a game that is at launch, single A not triple A. Maybe the missing As will materialise after some patching though. Is it worthy of at the minimum of its RRP as it stands right now? I don't think so one single bit. £25 is a good punt, nothing more in its current state. £65? give over we've been had.

In your opinion, or did you forget that lesson we had earlier in the thread?

I despise CP 2077 as a game, it looks terrible, plays terrible and purely because it is the poster game for Nvidia, it will not fade into oblivion (see what I did there?). But I get that other people like it.

Its great that you feel you are being catered for but the reality here is that bethesda probably had nearly the whole dev team working on the pro noun functionality with just one ‘they’ left for engine optimisation..

Perhaps you missed the bit right at the start which begins "I think" - But my thoughts are shared by plenty as it turns out, so it's not just an opinion.

Most people who have played Bethesda game studio games, know these bugs are par for the course. This was the case back with Fallout 3,Fallout:New Vegas,Skyrim and Fallout 4. The first two sold nearly 25 million copies between themselves,Skyrim sold 60 million copies and Fallout 4 nearly 20 million copies. About half of the Fallout 4 sales happened in the first week.

Looking at what reviewers have said,Starfield is far less buggier, and looks comparatively better(compared to the competition) than most of those games. You might find if all the enthusiasts on tech forums boycotted the game, plus Reddit and Twitter the games will still do reasonably well.

An opinion is still an opinion regardless how many people share it lol. Anyway, the game will be great when they launch the Legendary Edition on the PlayStation 8 in 2033.

seems fine, haven't played it that much. the design of the items in the research base at the start does remind me of the institute. am looting and shooting the pirates at the minute, gives me a fallout 4 in space vibe which is nice.

But this should not be the case in 2023. After the last 2 years of absolute trash PC releases why are people still expecting lacklustre PC launches just because a studio was famous for it before? Especially given that the head has been on interviews and social media channels highlighting how good it's all shaped up after such a long delay!

Why are people normalising bad development?

Edit*
And I am pretty confident that Alex at DF will highlight the vast majority of these issues in his video as soon as it goes live. It's thanks to DF that my eyes are now always drawn to these issues.

So i got my premium key from cdkeys a few weeks backm pre downloaded it and when i go to my steam library, the play button is greyed out as if i dont have a premium key?

i had already added it to my steam library!

The I think part was only in reference to the first sentence. The rest of your post was implying a factual statement.

Did you redeem both keys? On your cdkeys account there are two, not sure if that is the issue, some had it greyed out and needed to restart Steam.

Not only the pronoun option but the ability to give you character a camp walk too lol..:D
I made the man face then I saw after you can change the body type from male to female like :O

the face goes slightly feminine when you do it to, whys a game even need this and pronouns?

does anyone in the game ever refer to you by pronouns? I don't think they did yet and I don't see why they would anyway.

if they do then they must be forcing them in there, how many games refer to you in third person?

Silly question but has it finished downloading/unpacking?

And by restart do you mean completely killed it (not showing in taskmanager)
