***The Official Starfield Thread*** (As endorsed by TNA)

Became sidetracked again starting to mess around with Outposts. Started to create an excel sheet to work out what all I needed and then facepalmed as it was guaranteed someone else had already put the legwork in. And hay presto:

I'm not actually fussed about the lack of interaction landing on planets etc. It's one of those things people grumble about but after the tenth time of doing it they'd want a way to automate it or skip it anyway.

Also I only just discovered the cargo hold. I thought the captains locker was the sum of it lol.

Cargo hold? Captain's locker?

Jeez, that was something I had missed.

Tbh not sure. Just means I run out of ammo a lot because everyone becomes a massive bullet sponge.

Works for me.

I can despatch enemies a couple of levels above, but sure, if they're a few levels or more better than me, I'll move on and come back later.

Mine went from 50 fps to 75 fps at 4k with 50% resolution scale
I must try this!!

I have mine modded now with the LUT removal much better blacks, and also removed all the intro splash screens, and another great one is make the ship interface reticle nice and smooth at 120fps rather than the jittery mess it is at default!!!

Thank god for the modding community!!

Game wise I am really enjoying it, just went to neon for the first time, probs about 9 hours in, great game!

Well I’ve maxed out the weight and health perk. Cheesed the weightlifting perk and just did laps around my ship :p

Have come across a few new brilliant locations and quests today:
The colony ship - love this and the quests
Akila

Still so many places I haven’t discovered. Trying to level up lockpicking, but frustrating to keep only finding locks I can’t access.

Some of the armour designs are brilliant.

All in all, 20 hours in and loving this game.

I must have spent 5 maybe 6 hours doing side quests and exploring before i even went to the Constellation HQ to get acquainted with Sarah. It was fun just running around and finding places and random quests that some of the NPC's drop when you walk past them.

The DLSS 3 mod has helped massively with frames as well especially with FG on. The only issue with FG is during ship building, there's a lot of ghosting, smear etc when you're rotating your ship around.
which DLSS 3 mod are you using?

Surely you don't need the help of dlss though? If my 4070 is steaming ahead native 1440p ultra 53-60 fps and then 90-110 with dlss on you wont have any trouble? Or after you after 3 figure fps?

I'm level 5 and comfortably emptied a base of level 8 spacers of which there were about 6 of them.
Thankfully the 'intelligence' of them makes it rather simple lol.

Just means it’s quicker to get to places than games like NMS, I’ve completely embraced it now. Of course learning I don’t have to go through the menus all the time has helped.
