People reporting the update deletes the bInvalidateOlderFiles=1 line in your StarfieldCustom.ini file. If you're using some mods you'll have to add it again otherwise they won't work. Might also explain why some people losing save files as your save files can be tied to using certain mods/changes.

This first update is a small hotfix targeted at the few top issues were are seeing. After that, expect a regular interval of updates that have top community requested features including:
  • Brightness and Contrast controls
  • HDR Calibration Menu
  • FOV Slider
  • Nvidia DLSS Support (PC)
  • 32:9 Ultrawide Monitor Support (PC)
  • Eat button for food!

How about basic expectations in 2023 from an AAA game:mad:
 
I know it looks similar to the last effort but now I have sorted large storage out my outposts I don't need to focus on cargo so much.

This one is significantly better in combat than the last one, mainly because it is much more nimble.

Quite early on I managed to claim a ship that had around 1200 cargo which was very useful for setting up my outposts. Now everything gets dropped off at the main outpost or back in the house safe. Anything I'm building I make a shopping list for and only carry what's required. Currently still flying the Razorleaf with some upgraded parts although it's getting a bit annoying when Spacers run away from me. I need to kill you to level Piloting, get back here! :D

I do have a hab room that's got an insane amount simply dropped on the floor though. Pain to sort through but needs must.

updated my game and just pressed play, no issues! It just worked! All mods still working as they should be.

I thought i might have had to redo the DLSS mod but nope, that's working just fine too.
 
This has just dropped on Geforce Now. The game pass version works also. Apparently cloud saves also transfer between Xbox game streaming also.

This is my last attempt at this config, wanted a well balanced with max crew plus storage. Looks abit like a cockroach :cry:

Finally installed this tonight from gamepass, definitely not getting the performance I would like from my system so think I will park it until DLSS is supported officially.

See people saying this update has broke the DLSS mod which is a hassle I could do without if it breaks on updates.

I tried DLDSR 1.78x with FSR and the performance was better for the level of image quality I was getting so hope DLSS increases image quality that bit more.

Is there a dummy guide for this game? Doesn't seem to be any tutorial for handling gear. Didn't even tell me how to draw my gun/switch guns in that first fight or how to use first aid.

I've got the Puredark DLSS mod which has worked fine with the new patch. No issues here, can't say the samw for the others though.

First thing I checked and mine was still there, removing the FG/DLSS mod worked but then the creator made an update and now it all works with the mod again.

Didnt delete that line in mine. Steam.

I have lost the ability to put my guns on the racks in my armoury. Can take them down but cant put them back (nor in the wpn cases dotted around the armoury either :(
 
upgraded with no issues, save seems fine.

They really need to sort out environmental effects, I'm running around a planet at -18c in a spacesuit getting chill status effects. Andreja is running around just fine in her evening wear

Yea that doesn't seem to be consistent.

Going around a moon at -255c and fine, then next moon -18c and getting frostbite :confused:
 
One seemingly small things that's massively annoying me at the moment. I've got Adreja as my companion and Sarah on my ship crew, and they constantly have the same couple of conversations. In fact on the mission where I first met Andreja they had one of these conversations three times during the mission! Its nice to have these interactions in the background, but if they can't do it well they'd be better of not bothering.
