***The Official Starfield Thread*** (As endorsed by TNA)

I can join you with this now mate. Just picked up Starfield Premium edition from members market for £40 :D

Looking forward to beta testing for you all

I got my standard for £35 which is cool, you're dumb though paying £1 a day extra for 5 days early access :p That could be half a tin of baked beans the way inflation is going.

Don't forget premium also includes the first DLC (whenever that releases).

Which is why I bought premium, couldn't care less about playing it five days early, although I will!

True story. Ive never bought DLC for a game like that and by the time it comes out I'm usually so far over with the game, it wouldn't matter even if I did have a season pass.
I usually revisit when a game of the year ed comes out for like 10 quid with it all included years later.

Fair enough, but Fallout 4 without the DLC is like a full English breakfast with only the sausages.

I'll still be trying to finish my BG3 playthrough, I need those extra 5 days! Don't get jelly coz you can't have weird animal relations in this game.

Yeah but you'll be paying more overall for all the additional DLC, I'll be done for £35 all in :p

We all know I'll get the DLC if I enjoy the main game, I'm just talking a big game

This is typically true for me also. But if this game lives up to my expectations (Fallout in space, not Star Citizen) then I will be up for playing the DLC day 1. Especially for a fiver ;)

I had a feeling you was into that kind of thing :p

Remind me, how much did you pay for BG3? :D

@TNA depends, if it's fallout 4 in space it will get about 10h out of me.

Bg3 (GOTY calling it now) which I gladly paid £50 for on the other hand will offer far more hours of what I expect will be much higher quality storytelling, but then we can hardly compare let's face it.
Secondly I bought a 4090 so clearly I give very little value to £ lol (not to be confused with being rich, I'm not)

Also I resent being accused of being into that kind of thing! Love is love.

PS: if this game doesn't live up to my expectations, I'm going to be so disappointed.

I think I'm most looking forward to rumple coming in the thread, asking about the game, complaining about how much it costs, then telling us he bought it anyway and then telling us how much he hates it.

Based on what little I have seen it will get a lot more than 10 hours out of me before you even get to have a go 5 days later :D

That is good to hear about BG3. Will check it out once it drops in price. I got burned in Divinity 2 so I am hesitent. I did enjoy Divinity 1 though.

Yeah I can't wait tbh, I'm sure the bits I know I probably won't enjoy are optional like the building in fallout 4 but I'll still try everything:)

Biggest concern is there won't be any real incentive to explore past a certain point.

Unusual that Bethesda/Microsoft will not have a playable version or even demo of the game at Gamescom, a week before release.

Either they are hiding something or they don't want to spoil the game for launch (even though thousands will be spoiling it for others 5 days early)

Looking forward.. to all the bugs! Hopefully, we'll get swift patches and a fun game.

I'm getting it on game pass. I did actually upgrade my PC last month 50/50 covid/Starfield reasons, now I'm over covid so I hope the games worth it! I was too early for the AMD bundle though.

Yeah man. Not looked forward to a game this much in a while. I personally think unless one has sky high expectations it is going to be great.

I am going in with relatively low expectations, even though I am excited.
