*** The Official Takeaway Voucher Code Thread ***

I had MuckDonalds via Uber again last night :o
i found a menu option that turns a double cheeseburger into a 1/4lb'er with cheese...
the only real taste difference between the two are the onions, dbl cheese has tiny little bits whereas the 1/4lb'er has fresh onion,
in the toppings options you can remove the onion, then add extra fresh onion and it makes a world of difference, tastes exactly like the 1/4lb'er for less than half the price!

Just did this with a triple, can confirm it makes it a lot better and similar to a 1/4 pounder.

Me: Bless me father for i have sinned

Priest: That's ok my child, the lord is here to forgive you, tell me your sin

Me: I ordered MuckDonalds via Uber Eats again :(

Priest: That's ok my child, i assume you used a discount code to save the £3.99 delivery fee? :)

Me: Nah, i paid full price

Priest: GTFO of my confessional box, that's if you can manage to squeeze yourself out of here Fatty!

Me: Meh FU, i has cheeseburger :D

Unlimited free delivery still for me until the 31st Dec?

That's at paticipating stores only, unfortunately neither of the 2 branches on my Uber are participating :(
Just Eat have £1.99 delivery (+50p 'service charge!') but my locals aren't on there either,

Topcashback have £1.27 cashback on Uber Eats orders which i've been using so that makes the £3.99 delivery a more palatable £2.72
and as it's a 6 mile round trip it'd cost me 60p-70p to go myself, so i consider it just £2 delivery ;)

There must be a major difference in quality between the various McDonlands over the country.

I ordered a few months back (not much prior experience in general with McDonalds) from my local and the food was awful, really genuinely bad.

I'd flat out refuse the food if it was offered free the experience was so poor.

I find McDonalds probably the most consistant of all the fast food places, only complaint i have sometimes is the temperature of the food (mainly it's the fries being luke warm , burgers are normally fine)
what did you have and what was wrong with it?

Luke warm food, the fries were soggy and tasteless, the double cheeseburger I got wasn't very nice either.

There was a chicken sandwich which was so-so, the best of a bad lot.

The food was very expensive for what it was also, I only really gave it a go because it worked out almost free with an UberEats voucher.

Next time i order one i'm going to remove everything bar the bun, burger and cheese, and try it with fresh onions, lettice and mayo
as that's how i always order a cheeseburger from a kebab shop, i'l let you know how it goes

Whats the difference between the standard onion and the fresh onion?

Taste and texture, standard onion comes as tiny little bits and has little flavour, they put it in all their cheeseburger variants and the Bigmac,
the fresh onion only comes in the 1/4lb'er and it's the only ingredient that makes it different to a double cheeseburger (bar the bun)
so by swapping the onions in a double cheeseburger you effectively get a 1/4lb'er with cheese for £1.59 instead of ~£3.39 ;)

I love how you treat your McDs as if you're being served by Heston Blumenthal :D

One mouthful frog sperm in a raw robins egg and a boiled and gold plated leaf on a cracker made to look like the virgin mary for £100.

Or a filling and tasty no nonsense meal for £5 :p

Oi, I'm not knocking McDs, I love the stuff. I also enjoy a nice meal too, managed to get a table at the Bluebird recently which was ace.
