Surprised no one is going to Edinburgh from the forums this year.

My wife's off to Stirling Uni in Sept to study nursing tho if that counts?

She was also accepted for Edinburgh (Herriot Watt) but turned it down for Stirling due to the travelling ;)

Queen's University Belfast - Business Information Technology or Comp Science

Choose Computer Sceince :) it is your friend...

Be aware of the new course too, CIT (Computer information something) which is basically a downgraded version of CS for people who aren't up to the level. Good luck in whatever you choose, and I hope to see you around the Bernhard Crossland Building come Sept 2008 when I return from Dublin placement year:P

Whoop, good to see some Durham freshlings, it really is the place to be :). bathmat, if you're on facebook (which you'll find is amost a requirement of living here), you'll wanna check out a group called 'Maths Lecturer Top Trumps' :p.

Also on an almost related note, does anyone know the deadline for (re)applying for income assessed loans for next year?

You seem to be copying Lewis again :)

You what? For a start I am already at Uni, in my first year. I went round multiple uni's which I didn't want to be too far from home, didn't fancy huge journey to go home. I found Coventry was the best one out of the ones I went round, bar Loughborough uni but as I can see that uni from my house I didn't want to go there.

Plus Lewis does Motorsport Engineering. ;)

Is it really copying with the Dolomite? I wanted a classic car next so I was looking round, it was Mohinder who first showed me the Dolomite, then Lewis was able to give me more information on the car.

heh. I'm sure I'll manage fine. I enjoy the odd bike ride... :p

You went to Selwyn?

Naah thank god no :p

Went to Pembroke years ago - it just had off-campus accomodation there. Being a medic I was so used to just walking across the road (majority of lectures/labs on Downing Site) - at Selwyn Gardens it was a trek; missed a load of 9am lectures and saw a couple too many bike accidents

Newcastle, Economics.

Why am I the only person going to Newcastle? :(
Your not. Theres probably several thousand other people who are going too, they're just not members of this forum. :p

That sucks. Could have met up or something.

I'm pretty sure there are plenty of people here who are already there.

Proper Sheffield? (:p) What halls are you going to stay at? (assuming you're in halls)

Yeah "proper" Sheffield. ( :p ) As for the halls I haven't decided yet. They thought it would be wise to take me around Halifax on the openday/interview thing. I wasn't very impressed. I have however done some research, and although pricey, I quite like the look of Opal One. Having said that, I'm not so sure I wan't to be a) so close to the university and b) slap bang in the middle of the city.

Are you going to/at sheffield dave? Which have you applied for and what about your course?

Good man :)

Are you staying in Halls or private! I'm in Tapton at the moment (cheapest :p ) but I'll be living in Crookes next year with mates.

I've asked for city-centre self-catering what with me being an old git and all.

I had a place Sheffield Uni, but for Soft Eng it was dire and on a whole it seems fairly dull :p

Hallam > Sheffield for computing :p
