How is being the best damn artificer in all of Qualia going for you, Tic? =)

I can't make headway, as my friends leap ahead in Adv. and then I get mullered on their quests :(.

Also, what crafting level do you have to be for the quest? Around 20?

Level 21 you get the quest. Spent 2 hours trying it without a quest update. Funny thing is in the last patch notes it states they fixed the quest. :p

I'm not the best Mineralogist.. yet! Although i'm in the top 5 at least I think. Almost everything I craft now is server first.

And yeah, being a crafter is a full time thing. If you want to take crafting seriously you won't go outside of the crafting outposts/cities to quest. Ever. Havn't done a quest in about 2 weeks or so yet, apart from crafting quests that is. :p
 
Blimey, and nice one. But yeah, I guess since it's supposed to be equal times for quests on either sphere, it would be the same as going for Adv. xp =).

Oh well, maybe in a while. Where's your village/town, then? =D
 
cant wait for eXs to sort them selves out some plots of land hehe, although in all fairness their interest in the game seems to be dwindling...

I dunno how you do it tbh.. I've just spent 30mins blacksmithing and got bored .. next to instantly. :/

What's the quickest/most efficient crafting grade, b? (for levelling) and stick to work orders or actual crafts?

i just watched a video of some guys house he just built and another players ship

Its on Keejay Cove, only 4 plots have been taken buy our guild so far. Number should get larger as more people can afford it. :p

The quickest is work orders, moderate at Grade C, or Grade B if possible. But easy work orders at Grade B/A give quite good experience also. I believe you only get crafting experience on actual items the first time you make it, I can't confirm that as I wait 3-4 levels until I get Grade A on all the crafted items. :p

Yeah its definatly bugged. At least the Qalia one. Its quite a widespread issue, i've talked to 3 Mineralogists at level 21 and none of them can do it, we've spent a total combined time of 6-9 hours clicking bricks in Skrilien Cove with no quest update. Looking at crafting forums everyone is having the same issue. But the Thestran/Kojani quest is doable, for most people. Don't know if this problem was there before last week patch, but it definatly is now for at least the majority of people, if not all.
 
Hmm.. this crafting malarky really isn't for me, but I know how much better crafted items are than drops :|

Anyway..

I'm a nub. I wanted to get my dwarf from Thestra down to Qalia to meet up with Wayn0r. Along the way I had to pass through ~lvl33 zones.

Let's just say I couldn't be in any more XP debt if I tried. Damn pesky swamp frogs.. agro range on those suckers is absolutely miles away. I was dieing, spawning at the altar, then getting agro'd immediately! Not even long enough to recall back to noob land. :( (although I finally did.)
 
Right, just starting this mmorpg, and so far it seems fun & nicely slow to level up, and slightly unforgiving - it's reminding me of the early days of DAoC just with more bells and whistles.

Now considering I have limited experience of the game, is there any decent site that has a summary of the classes/races & associated abilities of each. I'm not after quest walkthroughs or anything like that, but a skill list would be handy to see what I should concentrate on.

Oh, and any advice for a newbie, other than /corpsedrag? :)

http://vanguard.tentonhammer.com/. Thats pretty good for skill lists and info about classes. /corpsedrag is handy, also /stuck if you get.... stuck! :p

/rope is pretty handy also, anyone can throw you a rope if you get stuck and someone is near you. Saves you traveling back after /stuck teleports you.
 
Argh... why are Sigil so opposed to me having a house?!

They fixed the quest bug. Great! I've got my house 80% finished now.

Now theres a crafting bug thats seriously affecting Carpenters, and I need a carpenter to make my roof! And no one can! Guess i'll have to wait another day to get it done... i'm just impatient. :p

What guild are u in tical, and how much do u reckon the mats have cost u to build a house ?

I have to say i'm very impressed by how houses work, the permissions are very cool, and how item placement works is very easy and very precise.

Now I just need to find out where I can buy a couple of chests, and how to place a vendor if they are implemented yet! :p
