Was after something to help me fall asleep :p

Well you picked the right thing!

reckon the PAYG will be crippleing prices tho??? £300 for the 8gb and poss 500 for the 16gb?? that still works out cheaper than the contract, cant imagine money grabbing apple whores selling it much cheaper?

I reckon it will be the old iPhone prices, maybe a little more. Either way, it is more tempting, the contracts are a joke.

Now they've got different prices depending on tariff does that mean that it's guaranteed you'll have to sign up in-store? Otherwise everyone will say there getting the most expensive tariff for the free phone... :(

That does look like it, no free phones to take home Jose !

Yea, its either sign up in store or PAYG. Stupidly priced contract or (as I suspect) an inflated handset price on PAYG.

Cool. Will probably go for a PAYG one. Not bothered about how much it costs, just always preferred PAYG.

Going to go in an o2 store tomorrow for more info.

The logo and name is terrible.

What do you make of this? It seems like our initial feelings may have been correct about them forcing you to sign the contract before handing over the phone. Although this article doesn't explicitly mention this, a 'traditional' model suggests this may be what they are getting at.

Apple may settle down and charge sensibly for the handset. But the tariffs are still a joke.
