Apart from the slightly higher res screen, thinner frame and a gyroscope! :S I think it's been quite a boring conference to be honest, half the talk is about iMovie, iBooks, iAds or complaining about the WiFi

Better battery? What about better battery life, which hasn't been mentioned has it?
Better screen? Resolution is slightly higher yeah, but the screen is still smaller than average.
Better design? Yeah and no, it is very nice and on a par with the X10 I'd say, much better looking than the frankly butt ugly older iPhones. Still needs a screen that covers the front more though.
Quicker? In what way? It's about the same hardware wise as the newer phones out in the last few months but not quicker.
Better UI? Well, debatable...
So yeah, it looks like a nice phone but there is nothing as yet to say it's overall much better than anything out on the market at the moment.
I'm actually not, the only thing it's got so far that should be considered a good upgrade is the HD Video recording.
Everything else is old technology, I'm disappointed. The screen is "arguably" better, Multi-tasking looks average at best, FOLDERS (lol).
It sounds like you would buy it if they just changed the look of the 3G and sold you that

-westy- has one and we used the GPS on it to get us to/from the RR. It died halfway home after fully charging it the night before. And he admitted even just on normal usage its pathetic.

well I sold my 3G about 2 weeks ago so definitely getting this.
For me just the fact it will be quicker / compass / better camera was all I wanted.

Much better design with a sexy antenna.
Quicker because its going to be the same speed as the iPad (most likely), as a lot of people say 'x' HTC phone is "faster" because the chip is clocked higher. But none of them are as responsive as the iPhone. Which is where it needs to be fast.

Whilst that may or may not be true
I honestly can't see how you can say upgrade wise this isn't miles different than the 3GWhether or not it's up to date with whatever htc's latest offering is another debate entirely
I think it's a pretty decent battery. Better than the 3GS I have.
The 4G one looks slightly better, and those Apple figures are probably a bit optimistic as things like this usually are.
