Yea i felt the same way. Simon got it spot on with they shouldn't be in the bottom two.

I had to laugh at how Cheryl lost all her bottle as soon as one of her acts was in the bottom two.

Forgive me, but isn't EVERYTHING vote-y a popularity contest? From prom queen to presidential elections?

If the judges and the producers of the show really wanted people to vote on the talent of the contestants,then we should never even hear the contestants interviewed.
It is because they spend so much time on interviewing the contestants,recording their sob stories and trying to build their public profile etc, that people at home start to get drawn into voting for their favourite person rather than the best singer.

Truth. Tho the reason Laura was in the bottom two imo is that everyone assumed she'd be safe and therefore didn't vote, rather than wanting to vote for someone else. I reckon it's why Austin was in there last week.
