I think overall JLS should have won - they certainly weren't any better or worse than Alexandra at the vocals, but she's got the charisma of a dead badger. Really boring person to watch on stage, almost sends me to sleep.

I think she'll get Christmas number one (which thanks to the X-Factor counts for absolutely zero these days) and then disappear.

I just hope she does it without murdering a Snow Patrol song on the way down. ;)

the minute she started crying and pulling a face like she needed the loo i turned off!
didnt want her to win at all. shes boring and the same as everything else. Shes just leona all over again

i reckon Jls will get a contract out of it anyway. they had the biggest fan base according to last nights clip of them going home

She was just too overwhelmed with everything it must be so tense though, give her a break guys

Despite JLS not winning, they will have a decent career now.
As for Alex she has a stunning voice ... BUT i do hope Leona hits the no1 spot ...saying that a lot of people hate the Run cover by Leona

Also don't know about anyone else but Xfactor didnt grip me like last year ( even though i watched every show) lol

^^^ Who cares? the shows about vocal talent, knowing all that BS is nothing to do with what the show is looking for, in auditions they don't get through because of their academic abilities, so get out :D

Does anyone else find it ironic that in this 'music' show none of the finalists will have a clue what 'the fourth, the fifth...minor...major' they are singing about are?

It's quite common for singers to know little about written music, and really it doesn't make much difference to them anyway. The two best singers in my year at high school could only just read music but couldn't say what key a piece was in or even that E is a semi-tone lower than F. All that matters to singers is the difference between notes, because keys are often changed to suit a voice.

Also, you have no idea what the finalists know about music theory. I don't know about the English systems, but in Scotland even 14 year old music pupils are taught the difference between minor and major.
