Hi, Ive ordered an OCUK own brand X1950PRO with my new rig. Does it come with a DVI-VGA adapter? I have an old school monitor and cant afford a new one! If not, does anyone know at least whether or not it is DVI-I so I can buy one myself, or am I going to need a new monitor?
 
theres quite a large difference between my now silent pro 256 and my old loud HIS 1950xt 256........... i cant play bf2 maxed out at over 30fps on the pro but i could on the xt, so future games will slaughter it.

maybe im just used to 8800gtx detail, IQ, and speeds.

also having issues with bf2 and my ati card, ie bf2 keeps not working due to CCC messing with my hz rate, randomly :S
 
Hi, the OCUK own brand card is that Triplex one that you had. I think Il stick with it though, I trust the choices that OCUK make! And also its only going to last me a year til I get a DX10 card anyway.

Thanks for the heads up. Anychance you could post a picture of what the card looks like please? I'm interested to see the cooler as the ones shown on the Triplex site look a bit whacky . . .

Or does it have the slim and sleek red plastic one?

Iv got a pro and it runs bf2 maxed out fine and quake 4 it plays evey thing fine but for dirt i play that in all high
 
Just dug this out! Anyone still running an X1950 Pro? I'm still running mine, I keep hovering over the 4850 On OCUK though :D Does the card play Far cry 2 and the like okay? if so I'll keep it :D

I still have my X1950pro, yet to upgrade to a PCI-E system haha. However, I have a few of the latest games, Dead Space (struggles a bit but runs smoothly on medium graphics), Far Cry 2, which runs fine on Medium at 1280x1024, Fallout 3 which again runs fine on Medium to High graphics. It's old, but it's still going strong!
 
I upgraded from an x1950pro to a 3850, difference was not amazing. Then upgraded to an 8800gt and that was mind blowing. Now considering the 4850 is better than the 8800gt then i would say DO IT!
