In DX9 mode

on Vista though but people on SA are saying my DX9 screens look better than their DX9 screens but they are on XP so maybe DX9 on Vista is using some DX10 effects ?

Hmm upping my CPU from 1.8 to 3Ghz just gave me a considerable FPS improvement.

Actually to be fair I just went from Vista to XP so it's probably XP giving me the improvement, I'll try Vista in a minute.

It's not properly released in the UK as of yet, people who have imported copies or somehow got deliveries early can prove they have legal copies but unless they do I will count them as pirated copies and delete as appropriate.

I've got my custom System.cfg ready for when my copy arrives.

Pictures can be found so that doesnt prove anything. I am sure I could find a picture if I googled it somewhere.

Interesting, Dx9 runs worse than Dx10 in Vista x64.

Performance is around the same as XP Dx9. I don't know what happened to my PC that made Vista suddenly on par with XP.

There are a lot of useful cvar's in there. Using these I'm really optimistic about it performing and looking pretty good on my x1900 xt.

my hope is that anything important, linkwise, or whatever will be added to the Original post, that way it should mean new posters wont need to look through all the pages, or ask the same questions over and over again, as it may already be on the original post

Hopefully my posts won't be deleted as I'm speaking strictly performance and not posting any more screens.

Not revealing any info on the game storyline/locations either.

Very High shaders makes much more of a difference than anything else, Post-Processing and Shaders on Very High is what makes it look better more than anything, the rest of the options are fairly minimal.
