however at that point in time zefan had closed a thread, for attempting to discuss the full retail game of crysis, which would have possibly contained pirated material, and i did not want the same to happen to this thread, which is why i asked people not to post about the final release version until the release date.

zytok was just picking up on the fact that following immediatly on from that post was someone discussing the final retail copy.

if you have nothing to add to this threads contents, appart from trolling, then please don't ;)

the fact that this is a game which is pre-release means that there is a high chance that people posting about the full retail game (ie screens, or level info) is highly unlikely to have a legal, retail copy. hence zefan asking for proof

that is the end of the discussion. it is well off topic, and it has no place in this thread!:mad:

The performance of the retail is worse then the demo for me it seems.


I play COD4 at 2560x1600 8xaa 16xaf and everything on max and get 70 to 140fps.

I play crysis at 1600x1200 no af no aa everything on very high except shaders, shadows on high and 15 to 30fps depending on whats going on. On the first level same as demo, stopped playing story cuz of poor fps and just play MP crysis on all high which can have its fun moments.

SLI is not supported at all. Quad core is not either.

Also lets say COD4 maxed looks as good as crysis medium even though imo cod4 looks better then crysis medium.

Why is it I can not get anywhere near 60fps @ 2560x1600 in crysis while in COD4 I can use 8xaa, 16af and 70+ fps .

IMO crysis is poor perfomance wise. Lets hope that the patch for sli is out on release day. Or new drivers.

I don't hate the game, (infact I think it is great -- Maximum Armour -- ) I just don't get people saying its totaly amazing nothings ever coming close when infact if you think about it most people play on medium to low and cod4 would look better. Since cod4 runs a whole lot better for the average person.

Also I would like to point out DX10 multiplayer is going to be empty for a long time because who plays on all very high?

Anyway people with legit copies need to jump on multiplayer there is like 20 people on there and 100s of empty servers :p

There will be improvements, and they have to fix memory leaks, it's unbearable on 2gb if you play long enough :)
However technology will change and i bet that when the next highend cards are out, those will run very high easily, and that's probably gonna be the only real solution :) Not a problem, the game was amazingly beautiful both on high and medium(changed to medium when the ice sphere was created, just after exiting the temple, had been playing for 6 hours at that point so memory leak was horrible, didn't know exiting game fixed it)

I'd just like to remind you all of the rules regarding competitors and if a moderator thinks you are discussing illegal gaming then your posts will be removed and your accounts could possibly suffer the same fate. The alternative is to not allow any discussion of a game until it is officially released and no-one wants that:)

Stop moaning- noones talking about that here- and people have been able to play the retail since four days ago. It's all the people that complain about the thread in the thread that ruin the tread and in the end it just means more threads get created because of it.
