The ongoing Elon Twitter saga: "insert demographic" melts down

Turns out that despite the horrible body shaming Elon has been subjected to yet another story of his virility and appeal to the opposite sex has emerged, not only has he recently welcomed into the world new babies with pop star Grimes, Hollywood actress Amber Heard (allegedly) and twins with one of his execs at Neuralink but it's recently emerged that he's cuckolded Google co-founder and former friend Sergey Brin, as reported in UK newspaper of record the Daily Mail:

The affair, according to the WSJ, happened in December and has led to the swift collapse of Brin's marriage to stunning brunette Nicole Shanahan, his second wife and the mother of his young daughter. Brin, a popular, fun-loving tech tycoon, filed for divorce in January, citing irreconcilable differences.

The pair had been widely regarded as the most glamorous in the tech world – and among the most powerful on the planet. In the months since, Brin has been steadily divesting himself of all of his investments in Musk's many businesses.

You can hardly blame him.

The Wall Street Journal reported sources at a party earlier this year claiming Musk dropped to one knee in front of Brin and apologised over the affair in order to beg for forgiveness. Brin reportedly acknowledged the apology – but still isn't speaking regularly to Musk.

Wonder if some other powerful Silicon Valley figures might start to get a bit fed up with Musk? This sort of thing could be rather damaging to his reputation, does that impact his fundraising ability in future?

It's not that I don't like him, in fact you can search my entire post history regarding Elon musk and it was generally not ever slagging him off until a few days ago when I called him a narcissist in one post and said he was foolish for agreeing to buy it twitter without the usual due diligence.

I've never had a strong opinion of him either way but I respected what he had done with Space-X and Tesla.

See post here from 2017

Recently he seems to have changed though, but not really interested in his holidays, affairs etc.

It seems it could be a bit of character assassination on the part of the WSJ which is actually supposed to be a serious newspaper, very dodgy given it's a big financial publication in the US and this sort of hit piece is being run right around the time of this legal fight with Twitter and Musk over a big corporate takeover.

Musk denies the allegations and also alleges a previous hit piece involving a rumour he was to be arrested by the FBI:

Also claims none of the people involved were interviewed (presume he means asked to comment?) re: the allegation:

When you look up the definition for ‘pettiness’ it should point to this thread.

I think a lot of you need to take yourselves to one side and have a word.

I just googled pettiness and instead it came up Elon's tweet calling a scuba diver that wanted to save the stuck kids, a pedo, all because elon wasn't required. :p

There are a few people on here who don't really have anything to say but still seem to feel a compelling need to say *something* just because a thread like this exists and has been updated.

Mr Unsworth told CNN that the submarine was "just a PR stunt [that] had absolutely no chance of working" and said Mr Musk could "stick his submarine where it hurts".

It's weird you miss this part out. Musk shows up offering help with a high tech sub and gets told to "stick his submarine where it hurts", I can't understand why he said that to Musk to begin with? Even if the sub wasn't required or wasn't feasible, why the aggression? Then he gets offended when Musk bites back.

Im fairly sure that isnt how it happened but never mind.

Guy's trying to save some children and this uppity billionaire who thinks he knows anything about everything gets in the way... golly I wonder why. Now to be fair to Musk he could have had pure intentions and just made a stupid remark in a fit of anger, but everything since seems to scream megalomania so I'm very unwilling to give the benefit of the doubt now.

Soon after the rescue, Vernon Unsworth, a British recreational caver who had been exploring the cave for the previous six years and played a key advisory role in the operation, criticized the submarine on CNN as amounting to nothing more than a public relations effort with no chance of success, and that Musk "had no conception of what the cave passage was like" and "can stick his submarine where it hurts". Musk asserted on Twitter that the device would have worked and referred to Unsworth as a "pedo guy".

That is literally the order of events.

Well, the King of Thailand seemed to appreciate his offer of help since he honoured Musk following it with the Order of the Direkgunabhorn

Just out of curiosity do you think Musk was justified saying that?

Yeah I mean, there was no need for the animosity shown by the cave diver towards someone just offering help. Bearing in mind it wasn't Elon Musk's personal help, but his collective of very skilled and intelligent engineers who work on rockets.
